Mariners have a 71 wRC+ over the last two weeks. Last good series they played really was ours. Julio is quietly having a mediocre year for his talent, on pace for about 3 fWAR with a 111 wRC+ so far. It was always going to be tough for them imo as you just aren't going to get 9 WAR from the catcher position more than once every hundred years. Even Cal coming back to just a star around 5 WAR would set them back, and so far he's been replacement level basically. Emerson and Young have been solid, especially given how young they are, but asking a 20 year old and a 22 year old to be stars is asking a lot. So far they've basically combined to be slightly below avg regulars. Promising for the future, but they are trying to win now. I imagine they make a pretty big deal at the deadline if they are still around .500. They need a bat, especially with Randy's injury issues.

I can go out to the park and look at girls like Brooke all day long without having to listen to them try and talk baseball. Anyways, Go Sox!

He should be locked into the 9th spot when everybody is healthy. He's a good 2nd leadoff guy and overall his production warrants him 9th in a good Sox lineup.

Burke was dare I say it electric last outing. Guardians offense stinks as you said, lets have another great outing that gets us into 7th.
