  1. I think the Sox are going to blow the doors off them again tonight. The team is united in seething fire against TLR and will take it out on the Twins' pitching staff. Take the over.
  2. Dude if you knew half as much about me as you think you do you know I NEVER IN ANY SPORT AT ANY TIME GIVE HALF A FUCK ABOUT MEDIA DRIVEN NARRATIVES! Pro ballplayers are PRO BALLPLAYERS. Yermin fucking Mercedes isn't going to go sulk in a corner and not ball out because he's pissed at his manager. THAT'S WHAT MAKES THEM PROFESSIONALS! JFC. This is a god damn nothing burger. The team is playing great baseball nothing about this matters.

  4. lol we call this a dogpile. blue checkmark media types love a good dogpile. especially when it concerns something they know nothing about like the dynamics of a professional locker room. they hate it cause they ain't it.
  5. Let the team have a bare knuckled fight for all I care. Just win baby.
  6. lol, that's fucking great. This is great. The best teams always need the little internal motivations. Now Yermin is gonna be even more jacked to try and piss off his manager. This rules.
  7. Oh he knows they exist when some lameball like himself that hasn't played a competitive sport beyond grade school can generate some clicks.
  8. You quoting a blathering monkey in Silvy is proving my point. Players play. Coaches coach and talking heads talk. This reminds me a bit of the "turmoil" inside the Lakers' locker room between Lebron and Vogel after Lebron wasn't on the bench the other week.
  9. Or he's you know trying not to get him beaned tonight. Clearly the Twins were upset, the Turtle was staring down the Sox' dugout. TLR is just doing what's expected in MLB. If you don't like it take it up with the Twins, as they seemed pretty pissed.
  10. Good maybe he'll be so pissed off at TLR he'll find the strike zone.
  11. Hilarious, Twins fans ripping their manager's statement on the game, pining for a hardass like La Russa as they are 11.5 back and now some of our fans are wishing for "anybody" but TLR as the Sox rip through the AL to MLB best record and differential.
  12. Didn't TA sorta apologize for his bat flip? Was that a thing? I can't remember.
  13. this is pro ball not some summer league or college team. this has already been handled and the team will you know, move on together. Yermin already showed up late once this year and TLR let him off pretty easily so I'd imagine TLR was a little ticked he swung through a take sign but you know what who the hell cares. as I've said a million times each of these guys is more mentally tough and more socially adaptable than almost all other people on earth.
  14. lol this is nothing. thank god it's not an off day. this team is rolling this shit is just something for the twitterati chattering class to mew over.
  15. I mean if he gave him the take sign and he didn't take that's a problem. Jose can smooth things over. This isn't a big deal.
  16. Grass is always greener somewhere else:
  17. Good, document all the reasons to suspend their entire team the rest of the season. Premeditated changes in order to bean the opposition should be a death penalty level offense, no? I'm only half kidding. There is no way this is actually their plan, right?
  18. Eaton just the other day said that Jose is the "standard here" so he certainly knows his place in the leadership pecking order. That said, Eaton did win a championship with the Nats and had a big role in that post season success, he had an OPS of nearly 1000 in the WS -- so he has some gravitas in the clubhouse I'd imagine -- with all the players, regardless of race or background.
  19. I was thinking Sheets should get a look. Seems he's doing OK in the outfield and his bat can't be any worse than Lamb's I'd guess.
  20. I'd be fine with 1.5 fWAR from Nick this year. The big thing is to just not have any big craters in the position players. Just sprinkle in some XBHs once and awhile and play acceptable defense at 2B.
  21. Maybe but it doesn't explain a ball 3 inches off the plate getting called a strike against Yermin. The rub for me on that particular call was that Happ had absolutely no control and that was obvious to everybody watching -- and yet the ump bent over backwards on 3-0 to give him a pitch that far off the plate? Just doesn't make any sense. Maybe if that was Greg Maddux the ump is thinking in the back of his mind to give him the benefit of the doubt but Happ was all the fucking place.
  22. Just based on watching most the games this is completely expected. The umps have been fucking horrible and lately it seems quite a few of the misses have been in counts where it would have been a strikeout or walk and completely changed the complexion of an inning against Chicago.
  23. Yea exactly one side is in a title fight the other is a bottom feeder. That's why if they Sox do get thrown out no fucking warnings just immediately toss Pineda.
