  1. Fake ass insider Not Steve Cishek tweeted last night things had gone "silent" on purpose, just the way the Sox prefer it blah blah blah.
  2. He's almost certainly going to get a shot this year, unless you think Jose and EE play a combined 300 games. He's a DH/1B only. You can't have him catch a MLB game based on what we've seen this spring. I'm not sure why the Sox haven't gotten off the pot on that yet.
  3. A must read article from Dan Z on Robert today. TL:DR is that if Robert hits his 80th or 90th percentile ZIPS projections the White Sox are about even odds to make the playoffs. And Dan is about as optimistic as you'll ever hear him on Robert beating his own projection system's odds. @Quin @bmags @Balta1701 can one of you guys move this thread to the main forum now that Robert is a Big Leaguer? Or maybe this post can headline the new MLB one! Thanks!
  4. Dan Z just did a long look at Robert. He projects there is roughly a 40% chance Robert is above 3 WAR this year. Wow. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/the-white-sox-playoff-road-is-parallel-to-the-luis-robert-expressway/
  5. Here's the play TA made look ridiculously easy.
  6. Hey man this isn't your blog. Try and respect the other posters by not double spacing your posts and formatting them needlessly. Frankly most people will just put you on ignore if you keep it up, including myself. You have good thoughts and input but this isn't the place to just mindlessly put down everything that comes into your head.
  7. I'd think anytime a guy with as many miles as he has reports a "sore shoulder" it rings an alarm bell. If there's a positive here it's that it might allow some of the youngsters to pitch a few more spring training innings. The downside is the Sox might be dealing with a 4 man rotation until Kopech comes up.
  8. nasty breaking ball sits him down, 2 down.
  9. Cishek looks pretty sharp got his breaking ball working.
  10. Popout to shallow right. Luis Gonzalez and his 15" glove make the play. That's a rock scooper he's got there.
  11. The Real Steve Cishek in now.
  12. Eloy gets jammed on a good inside fastball and goes out to right on a lazy fly ball.
  13. nick gets a meatball and pops it up.
  14. Colome at 95 according to the announcer. Another mediocre breaking ball but TA makes a tough play in the hole look easy. Could have backhanded it but got around on it and flipped an accurate throw over.
  15. Colome's off speed just does absolutely nothing in this desert air.
  16. Bummer putting it exactly were he wants it so far.
  17. not a great AB from Robert, flies out on three straight pitches to left. Was way out in front on everything.
  18. and that is the difference between eloy and Delmonico, eloy gets jammed a bit but still hits it's it very hard and CF is unable to make the diving catch, double for Eloy with 2 outs.
  19. Man if Delmonico had just a little more bat speed he'd be a useful player. Warning track shot.
  20. TA is doing a nice job staying down on the ball and catching it under the bill of cap: not doing his off to one hand side shit. Quick inning for Kuechel getting a lot of soft ground balls.
  21. Nice play by TA to get the easy hop on the charge and throws him out. Runner over to 2nd with one out.
  22. Not really sure why he's still out there honestly. It's March 2nd. 3 innings is more than enough.
  23. TA rolls over on one and hits a two hopper to 3rd for the final out.
  24. what about the name that appears to the left of the post?
