  1. can't do much with those fastballs. 1st one was the best one to hit, 2nd was unhittable, 3rd at 97mph with two strikes elevated is Gio like.
  2. jesus aced him. that first pitch he needed to keep fair.
  3. lol I'd be livid if I was a Rangers fan, you walk that guy on 4 pitches?
  4. the amount of nut sucking opposing crews do on jose abreu is unreal.
  5. He tries hard I give him that and he's earnest.
  6. Worked out alright for myself. Fucking POS employee shoots me a text at like 10 this morning that he's not going to make the shift so I have to personally cover it. I'm at work right now but at least the I can enjoy the game in a couple hours. Owning a small biz just completely eclipses everything in your life it's like having a kid sometimes.
  7. lol at Pnoles: Look I'm as happy as anybody that club is watchable and mediocre instead of dog shit but the reality is they are still a long way's away from competing for a WS. I really don't need to root for Jon Jay to steal any ABs from a piece that will actually matter after this year. Nova and Despaigne sure I'll root for them but not at the expense of bringing up Cease or (and this should be looked at) trading for a starter this year. It's a total buyer's market. If the Sox can ID a SP they think has a good chance to contribute the next 3-4 years they should jump on it.
  8. They showed that "jet stream" on the Rangers broadcast last night and I was pretty blown away (almost literally through my monitor). The flags were absolutely ripping in that part of the park. Eloy could fist one out that way as well today.
  9. Yea we're going to need a Tim bomb it feels like. Last night the Sox really hit the shit out of the ball they just got unlucky numerous times. With a little better luck they could have had 7-8 runs instead of 5. Need to keep that hitting going tonight and the luck should improve.
  10. Glad Leury is healthy enough to get the start but would have preferred to see if Cordell could keep it going, he looked dangerous last night for the 1st time an awhile and Tilson is a worse defender and we're going to need all the defense we can get tonight.
  11. Hahn's strength is trades he should be all ears. Let someone else handle FA.
  12. Only guy I'd consider "off limits unless you want to completely overpay" is Bummer. Bummer could be the closer for the next 4-5 years. I like what Rickie is doing with Herrera he's slowly trying to build him back up unto a reliable set up guy so he can be flipped for anything hopefully. Herrera has looked much better stuff wise the last month. Fastball is back at 98 and his slider is moving again.
  13. I don't agree but as for the specific signing you mentioned I'd be all for it. Getting 2-3 WAR veterans on reasonable deals is going to be huge the next decade.
  14. Eh there's plenty of dead wood to cut off. Jimmy Cordero, Yonder, Cordell, almost another half dozen relievers. Engel (you'd probably pick one of Cordell and Enge to cut). Sox will have a 40 man crunch when they are good again. They aren't quite there yet.
  15. If there is a time to play for a squeeze it's there. Mediocre hitter and need one critical run to get your closer in the game.
  16. good win. some real positives from the kids. bullpen was amazing tonight and lopez held it together for once.
