  1. Good read all around. Thanks for the comparisons and I do agree with others that Floyd's curveball is better than Gio's right now. Floyd was always at two pitch pitcher though and as noted Gio's changeup is the difference between the two. Gio can have much more lasting success than Floyd if he can harness all his stuff.
  2. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 06:40 PM) Had a big issue with how Stone talked down to Bennetti about Sabr stats. Wouldn't let him get his point across and treated him like a child. what inning?
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 01:46 PM) Ok why ? You over reacted a few games ago on Davidson too. lol, how does one "over react" when the players in question had over 800 combined PA last year and were over -2 fWAR combined. I'm not over reacting to this year I'm reacting to bad players that have sucked for a long time on the south side.
  4. lmao Timmy pimping that walk. love it. he should feel good. he has SEVEN WALKS ALREADY.
  5. TA of previous years would have helped the wild pitcher out in this scenario. He's learning.
  6. looks like a decent day to play. As a player that played a s***load of games in the 40s I never minded it too much if it was sunny with little wind. You could get a little warmth going in your hands that way. 40s and wind and overcast is miserable however.
  7. I'll pick one thing to respond to, since your post is all over the place: Yolmer's performance yesterday was one of the best all around games a Sox 3B has had in my lifetime. That was a prime Joe Crede esque effort on both sides.
  8. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Apr 5, 2018 -> 07:34 PM) One of the worst plays I've ever seen in a major league game. DUMB agree one of the worst plays I've ever seen in MLB.
  9. are you f***ing kidding me leury? wow. that is f***ING LITTLE LEAGUE.
  10. QUOTE (Richie @ Apr 5, 2018 -> 07:27 PM) As a newb - I can't tell if people are serious about calling Yoan a bust. lol last year somebody made a Jose Abreu thread after the first few weeks and then from that point on Jose pretty much hit everything in sight. so somebody tried that today. lol.

  13. classy move from Hawk. He was alright today. He's still OK in small doses.
  14. QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 5, 2018 -> 07:23 PM) Yolmer Sanchez is quickly becoming one of the most underrated 3rd baseman in the game. I knew it when this guy was hitting 280 in AA and AAA as a 20/21 year old the Sox might have something. He's always been criminally under-rated even among Sox fans imo. With that glove he never had to hit much to be useful. Now that he's hitting he's a solid regular, hell he might even be turning into a star.
  15. moncada is going to have to start swinging earlier in the count the scouting report on him is obviously start him with strikes because he's not swinging. he's 0-2 almost every AB.
  16. great frame from narvaez. lol nice interjection jason...
  17. QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 5, 2018 -> 06:58 PM) Yeah I don't think it is sustainable either, but I don't think it would be unreasonable for them to finish in the top 6 or 7 in the American league in offensive numbers. I think they could score 800 runs this year. Might give up 850 though.
