GT: Tigers (27-52) @ White Sox (39-42), July 3
extending him for 3 years would be batshit insane. On the open market he'd be lucky to get 2 years 18 million.

Thank god he got that.

No command. Familiar refrain.

I mean, it's true. You can argue it has nothing to do with pressure or lack of but it's true. When the Sox are long out of the playoff hunt Jose turns it up. Is there something more there than he likes the hotter weather? Probably not, but it's interesting.

Which doesn't help much when they Sox are 20 games back in August.

Nice, I got a relaxed schedule as well the next couple days. Haven't watched a full game since TA went down that will change this week.

Moncada
I have a hard time calling anybody a 6+ true talent player. For Moncada what would that look like? Probably about what it does now except with another 20 points of OBP and slugging so something like a 300/370/550 line and then a win of value at 3rd defensively and maybe another half on the bases. So about 6 with the bat and then 1.5 with defense and baserunning. He can do it but I don't think that's his true talent level, at least not right now. Maybe when he's 26-29.

It appears that Chicago and Upper Midwest will not have summer this year. It will probably be 90 in September however.

that name is cringey AF but that girl seems cool from her twitter.

It's Detroit. Even with the injuries they should be expecting to take 3 of 4. Detroit is really, really, really, really bad. If the Orioles weren't so awful Detroit would be getting more attention for how bad they are. They make the tanking Sox clubs look competent.

True, their offense is putrid.

He'll be lucky to make it through 5 again.

Nick Madrigal promoted to Birmingham
Good info but physically Newman makes Madrigal look child like. Madrigal needs to continue to work on his body. And no I wouldn't be opposed to a little juice.

I'd actually like to see them use him as an OPENER. I think he's usually good for a couple times through then his lack of a viable 3rd pitch starts to play and he has problems finishing off guys with 2 strikes or even getting to 2 strikes. Use him as an opener for Lopez.

Yolbert Sanchez to Sox??
I like this move. Sounds like Yolmer 2.0 with the ability to play a true SS as a utility guy. Should be in Chicago just as the window is wide open in 2022-24.

small white spark plug type? claro que si.

Hahn: Burger might be out until fall
What's the best cheese for a burger? It's swiss right? That's the status of this guy's body.

The Acceptance Phase of James Shields and Tatis Jr.
Way more to it than that. Properly accessing your standing in the MLB ecosystem would be another area for improvement. Sox were not in a win cycle and should not have been trading away anybody for veterans.

The Acceptance Phase of James Shields and Tatis Jr.
It was a bad process that led to the worst case result. Hopefully Hahn learned from it.

6/30 Games
he sure can whip the bat through the zone with intent. he's going to put a lot of dents into the walls of MLB stadiums.

And that’s a white Sox Twinkie slaying series win
Rather incredible the team is hanging in there with so many injuries and effectively one big league quality starter in their rotation. Moncada turning into a star sure helps.

All Star Jose Abreu
Yikes.
