  1. That's what it seems like. If their offer really was 180 million: again, you laugh to stop the tears.
  2. lol, where is Jack Parkman. I need some smoke blown up my ass about how optimistic we should be.
  3. Most precictable thing ever really. This franchise just got cucked by the Padres. You laugh to stop the tears.
  4. I'll watch the Eloy ABs, that's it. Enjoy the season guys, maybe I'll get excited in late March we'll see.
  5. I hope they get hotter than shit just to stuff it up my ass that's been watching 120 games a year for most of my adult life. But right now it's a disheartening situation.
  6. I'm talking like 63-68 wins again with little to no development from the kids and Rick making his boneheaded decisions on a daily basis for a cherry on top. I think there is about a 40% chance. @heirdog -- that would be fine. But I think there's a pretty good chance that doesn't happen and the rebuild stalls out.
  7. If the team sucks this year this board is going to have a major, major reckoning. Sadly I think it's coming. Glad I'm not a mod.
  8. Which RH had little if anything to do with. And that's now 14 years ago. The honeymoon period is long gone. Remember, it was Hahn's disastrous off-season in 2015 that led to this rebuild. He gets this year and next year. If the team doesn't win more than 88 games next year he more than deserves to be canned.
  9. didn't know that was the criteria, thought folks were just looking for a hitter they found either through scouting or development that turned out good. There are no Sox draft picks. The closest would probably be Simien with his career 713 OPS as a passable MLB SS.
  10. With Ricky Renteria running the show! Just shoot me now.
  11. I agree with a lot of this. The point is that Madrigal has a long ass way to go to prove he can maintain a good slash line even in the high minors. We'll see what happens when pitchers with control that can also knock the bat out of his hands start facing him. He's a nice prospect, but I think the Fangraphs valuation is way high on him. I'm closer to Keith Law (ugh) on Madrigal. Solid B guy, not A- or so like Fangraphs has him.
  12. We don't know that. Right now he's a low A ball guy. With this org's history there is nobody here that should expect him to develop into a solid MLB player, draft stock or not. The Sox moving Moncada off 2B prematurely is par for the course tho. They will prolly call up Madrigal in August when he's been hitting 220 in AA.
  13. This is some bullshit. What a fucking clown show. Hey let's fuck with Moncada! Luckily everybody knows the MLB instruction and internal scouting on this club is A+ so I'm sure the transition will go completely smoothly. If the Sox think he's a 3B who am I to argue!
  14. This organization is braindead. Somehow they want me to care even less.
  15. I'm hungover and reading DA talk about how 400 million is the same as 200 million before I have to shower shit shave and go to work. This is the worst timeline.
  16. Just cancel the season. Strike now. Ownership can suck a fat dick.
  17. Seattle has a hardball league but entry is $1100 and it's basically to ensure you show up for the games. I went to a try out last spring and held my own but man in this city it all adds up and $1100 is pricey for all but the "fuck you" money types. Love to play ball tho. I might do some coaching this year at least can hit some fungoes.
  18. Thanks for the link but I just read it and the takeway if anything is that over training leads to stiffer tendons more likely to rupture. Have you read anything about "eccentric training"? After I had my dual ruptures I read some folks that strongly advocated using it for tendon injuries.
  19. too bad it's not a basketball palming competition.
