Start looking at playoff tix.

Certainly isn't any other SS (seems like that's where they want him working for now) blocking him. I dunno if he's a MLB quality SS with the arm concerns, but makes sense to try him there. Then they can move TA to catcher in 2021.

It's gonna be hard to argue he's not ready when he's posting an OPS over 900 the rest of the way. Dude is a beast. Water finds its level. His level is MLB right now.

I'd like to see him get a solid month at AA before year is up. AA season ends 1st week of Sept? So two more weeks in WS and onto Birmingham.

I'm starting to wonder why I live here myself. If it wasn't for the hiking and backpacking and overall stunning nature I'd probably move. For now hard to leave that. It's incredible how crowded and expensive things are here compared to 7 years ago when I moved. This is the first time since I've been here the Mariners are actually more than a few games over .500 and the city is just in love with them and you've got every ignorant Seahawks focused talk radio show talking them up. Was pretty embarrassing listening to John Clayton talk about how the playoffs were a mere formality only two weeks ago.

Holly fuck I want to sweep this shit Mariners club. Never seen a fanbase so cocky over a club that has a negative RD. Seattle sports talk hosts are acting like a win tonight (against wade fucking leblanc) is assured and a sweep is all but guaranteed. Sweep their asses and with an Oakland sweep the Mariners will have gone from 11 games up on the 2nd WC to out of the playoffs in 40 days. DO IT

I don't see any reason to believe that. If the Astros do, I'd be pretty shocked. I think they might believe he's better than Gattis and the Sox will dump him for not much in return. Fangraphs project a wRC+ of 121 rest of way for Jose and 113 for Gattis.

1st bold: Hard hit rate is down 5%. IF popout rate is up 6%. He's simply not making quality contact as often as in the past. Which is reflected in his BABIP. 2nd bold: ZIPS rest of season projects him for .9 WAR. Not sure how much return the Sox are going to get for that. An C+ guy and a PTBNL? Not even worth it. Might as well just keep him and see what happens in the offseason with his contract situation. Not really much to lose if he just wants to walk. If he wants to come back, ok, but if not, no big deal.

Delmonico back on the active roster

Of Tilson, Engel and Palka -- Nicky is by far the most likely to turn into a useful asset. He should be given every start in LF the rest of the way, health permitting. -

None of these corner guys is that intriguing at all because none of them can play a lick of defense. (If they could, they wouldn't have essentially been available for a 40 man spot.) With their defensive woes you're looking at something like a slash line of 280/350/480 for them to be average starters. That's not that likely. That said, he's better than Tilson and Palka. -

Good news it seems. Better than any arm problems. -

Rob Young @RobertHYoung 4h4 hours ago More According to a source, #WhiteSox RHP Jimmy Lambert left his start last night with an oblique injury. Severity is unknown at this time, but the hope is he won't miss much time -

This outfield is just rotating crap. You take one turd out and replace it with a fresh one every other month. -
It would be nice if if you could designate two guys from your 40 man, under 23, starting September 1st that would not accrue service time but that would get a MLB check and experience anyways. Might be something considered in the next CBA.

I think it's important to reward young players for success. I'd have a hard time explaining to Eloy that he can't come up because of something that might happen 7 years from now. I'd be worried about pissing him off, frankly.
