I'd rather see a reliever go down to a HR off a 97mph fastball then to come in, get down in the count 3-1 and nibble at worst a minor setback into a potential big inning. If they are going to hit a 2 run HR off 97mph tip the hat and move on. Dont load the bases or some s%*# throwing balls.
He's hanging on to .2 fWAR. I know his errors are a thing but fangraphs thinks he's a solid 2B so far, at +1.3 run value and it's backed up with the statcast data, which has him at 86th percentile range.
