Fire Chris Getz
Only 1/162 but hard not to see how bad this team is if they can't find any SP. Shane Smith is a nice story but he's still very much up in the air as anything other than a back end 4 or 5th starter. Command is a real problem for our staff, not just control, but command -- we throw a lot of meatballs right down broadway, "non competitive pitches" but instead of wild, right down the middle. Neither is any good of course. For the OF, losing Robert and Baldwin is crazily a big blow to the true talent out there. I haven't really seen anything from Acuna that suggests has anything more than a 1 WAR player. But again, it's 1/162. Go get'em Saturday.

I predicted 70 but man, I might think we finish closer to 60 after today. This OF is not even AAAA.

Schriffen is such a goof ball. At least Jason was also usually witty. Schriffen is just a goof ball.

We don't have a staff that is going to be able to pitch around defensive mistakes. Two in one inning, I don't blame smith too much there.

I don't agree with any analytics that say playing infield in in that situation.

He's a righty but he's the most electric young arm I've seen since Sale. Similar crazy condor launch arm slot. Skenes isn't quite that dominant with the fastball, but Miso is a pure flame thrower.

Misio is stupid talented but also still young and if you make him work he will get wild and tire himself out in 3-4 innings. Just be patient and try and work some counts.

The problem wasn't that nobody was willing to give up anything it's that he was probably worth like a A ball lotto ticket, which is fine, and Getz tried to trade for some guy that MLB had already really decided was no longer a prospect -- I'd imagine because they thought they had something they could fix with him. Just a real longshot that didn't fit with our timeline at all, it's not like Mead even if he turned into the 99th percentile version of his tools is anything more than an average regular at a position we already have filled given the other options over the same time frame. - Opening Day Roster set
