19 games at AAA, ERA of 5.5, WHIP of 1.85 on the year. Looks like he's thrown 34 innings in 19 games so he fits the bill as "replacement long reliever and maybe spot starter at Charlotte". Hopefully doesn't have to see the big league squad for any reason and is nothing but a guy to help the Knights roster replace Carroll.

And we need to do that without being able to really add payroll because we've already got so much committed. That's the path I see to a lost decade.

Gerrit Cole has the best ERA in the national league. The White Sox have scored the 2nd fewest runs in baseball. It would be so totally baseball for us to somehow light him up.
