QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 04:16 PM) This is the 5th time i'm asking, and 3rd time on this thread, i'm sick of getting ignored... How do I watch this game on a livestream if I have comcast, but no tv? I tried watching the livestream on the WGN site, but it's only airing the news. This seems like a question you need to ask Comcast.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 04:02 PM) Avengers 2 is tracking right now to obliterate box office records How can a movie not out for 3 weeks be tracking to do that? online presales?

Finally the last couple innings that's the pitcher we were hoping for.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 03:47 PM) Nice leadoff double by Abreu. That one was pretty weak.

Suddenly they look alive on the field.

Finally.

That was one of those "Come on New York this should not take this long" replays

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 02:38 PM) We are going to be the laughing stock of the MLB. Jeff, you suck. Hey the crowd is present I hear something!

QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 02:34 PM) I'm sure he doesnt know he's a free agent at the end of the season Have we tried telling him?

9 stolen bases, 0 CS on the year, on pace to give up >300.
-
Down early again. Crowd feels dead again.
-
If I'm reading this right that's the 8th stolen base we've given up through 4.1 games with 0 CS, good for worst in the league.
-
Stolen base against us again.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 12:54 PM) Micah = rookie mistakes on the base paths and poor defense is already showing I said this in the game thread yesterday. If you're going to call a guy up who has 1 year above A-ball you're going to expect errors on the basepaths and other mental errors. The greatest coach in human history isn't going to change that. Young guys get called up and make mistakes. If they weren't willing to overlook some mental errors from Micah and still called him up then Micah isn't the problem, management is. Hell, for yesterday's baserunning throwout, he was on 2b with 1 out and Abreu was on deck. He shouldn't have had the green light anyway. That one hangs on the dugout too, the manager shouldn't have given him the green light to even try. The dugout can't act like he's 29 year old Ricky Henderson with a complete book on every single pitcher in the league and how to recognize their pickoff moves until he's actually seen some of them.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 11:56 AM) Wouldn't surprise me if this is the everyday lineup in about 3 weeks. Also wouldn't surprise me if Johnson is replaced full time by Sanchez soon. Micah and Flowers are 2 of the only ones who have done anything productive with the bats so far this year.

Every single thing I hate about this system summed up very well in one instant. Congratulations on your "insane amount of money". I'm sure that shows your legislative and governing skills quite well.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 09:13 PM) Our offense lost us the game, not Noesi. He gave up 2 runs and we had let up 3 up until the 9th. Blame the offense Noesi could definitely have been better.

I'm in on Chris.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 07:43 PM) The Cubs have scored 3 runs in 3 games with the great Joe Maddon. They should fire him. Out of the Cubs and White Sox, which do you think is in setup where it is most important that they win this season? If both teams win 70 games this season, which is it worse for?

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 07:21 PM) Roster decisions, pitching hooks, ect can all be debated, and Robin probably won't win a lot of those debates. That's totally fair. I just have a hard time listening to people complain about the team not being ready because of Robin. It's too easy. The players deserve that, it's why they get paid. To preform. If they don't, that's on them. I would have agreed with you until I watched the 2011-2014 Chicago White Sox. I saw 3 teams that were complacent, happy, and not worked hard in spring training and I saw 3 teams that disappointed and were uncompetitive. I also saw one team that came out firing on all cylinders from day 1, with some of the best fundamentals I've ever seen from a ballclub, and that team was only kept from a division title by the fact that their kids and veterans broke down from exhaustion at the end of the year. Most of the same players from 2011 fixed problems in 2012 and then the same players from 2012 fell apart in 2013 and looked like a clown show. Maybe the one who set the standard too high is Robin Ventura 2012, but this is the 3rd year in a row I've looked at the team starting out week 1 and said "What the hell did we do different in 2012 and why aren't we doing that again?"
-
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 07:18 PM) Look at the lineup. Aside from MJ, who is actually playing well, these guys are all veterans. I don't think Ventura is a good manager, I think he's average at best, but I've been around athletes enough that a manager shouldn't have to be responsible for "getting guys ready to play". It's something for media and fans to write and complain about, but does a Robin Ventura speech or basic fundamental drills before the game really going to get guys like Eaton, Melky, LaRoche to all hit? If that's the case, we got the wrong players. Well LaRoche shouldn't have been in the lineup against a lefty today but that's a different matter.
-
QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 07:17 PM) And Micah getting picked off down 4 the other day. Robin is dead wood man. He doesn't have the team ready. At. All. Again, Micah getting picked off I sorta expect. He's a rookie who was rushed upwards at least somewhat. If you're going to play rookies, you have to be ready to take the bad along with the good. He's going to make stupid mental errors multiple times this season, that's one I'm going to tolerate. Even the greatest coach in human history on the bench and the rookie 2b with 1 year above A-ball is going to make some mistakes.

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 07:14 PM) Eaton tried to tag from 3rd on a soft fly ball to LF. LFer threw home, catcher tagged him, then Eaton ripped the ball out of his glove, hahahaha. Better than that, as Eaton was sliding the catcher's mitt was right in front of him so he literally grabbed the catcher's mitt and pulled it off.
-
I think the first bit of noise i heard from the crowd was them all laughing at Eaton there.
