  1. Denver into FG range to avoid the shutout
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Feb 2, 2014 -> 08:34 PM) Sooooo...what else is on? Downton Abbey apparently.
  3. @robfee Use the promo code PEYTON when ordering a Papa Johns pizza & when it’s delivered to your house, a Seattle DB will take it from you & eat it.
  4. The win probability for the Seahawks at halftime is 97%
  5. QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Feb 2, 2014 -> 08:01 PM) Thoughts for the 2nd half?? I think it was a mistake for John Fox to turn his Super Bowl preparation over to Robin Ventura.
  6. that's the definition of defensive holding. They will show that in referee school.
  7. The number of mental errors being made by the Broncos is just staggering.
  8. Well, Denver has officially decided they're not showing up this half.
  9. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Feb 2, 2014 -> 07:10 PM) Denver lucky to be down only 8-0. Time for Denver to show up in this game.
  10. More of a forward pass than Frank Wycheck's was.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 2, 2014 -> 06:24 PM) It would be nice to be able to move Eaton to LF, but more of a luxury at the moment. Other than Rasmus, there's nobody on that list that jumps out as the right move for a rebuilding team...Span should be playing in a huge outfield or artificial turf field to maximize his positives. Gutierrez had that one very solid season with the M's, but that was half a decade ago and we can't afford to add many "defense first" players. Emilio Bonifacio (30) Coco Crisp (35) Franklin Gutierrez (32) Colby Rasmus (28) Grady Sizemore (32) Denard Span (31) - $9MM club option with a $500K buyout Chris Young (31) And we also have no real idea what kind of OF Eaton could develop into with coaching. He was poor last year in short time, but also injured for a part of the year and so forth, so plenty of room to get better.
  12. Your first mistake was coming into Assembly Hall with a conference winning streak.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 2, 2014 -> 12:50 PM) One of my favorite Super Bowl memories is him catching the ricochet off of a giants defender helmet and taking it in for a TD Out of the Bills big 3 on offense, the only one that was there for the comeback was Reed, the other 2 were hurt. Frank Reich made himself into a legend by throwing the ball wherever Andre Reed was and hoping for the best.
  14. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 1, 2014 -> 01:47 PM) Agreed but if he hits very well and fields like last year, he should shift to DH or at least in part for 2015. A lot of this depends on the rest of the roster IMO. If he hits like he's capable of, and is a negative OF, he still would only be 25 and have some room to improve...he'd be a really solid corner OF bat, and he could give the White Sox the ability to add a LH hitting bat to either platoon with him or to DH. If, OTOH, we somehow come up with another CF and we want to move Eaton to a corner position, or we find ourselves having a LH hitting OF bat somewhere, then I wouldn't be mad. If he hits well enough to play DH, then we have flexibility to keep him as a fielder and expect that his arm offsets some of his weakness if we want to fill the DH slot elsewhere. That would be a solid advantage and a real gain for the offense. If he doesn't hit, then bah, nothing matters.
  15. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 1, 2014 -> 01:39 PM) For me, him in the OF is '14 or bust. Frankly, all I care about is his bat for this year
  16. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 1, 2014 -> 12:52 PM) Obviously he needs to show he can hit first but there is no such thing as too young for DH. That is actually kind of a deep, fairly accurate statement...because he hasn't played the OF for very long. With his arm, he just has to get ok reads on the ball to be a decent (not great) corner OF - his arm will deliver a good amount of value by keeping people from running. But since he's only played a couple years out there and been moved around so much beforehand, Given more time and a decent coaching staff, he could very well be expected to improve.
  17. QUOTE (Boogua @ Feb 1, 2014 -> 12:20 AM) Pacers are set to sign Bynum. That's a pretty tight locker room he's going to, so they might get something out of him. It also keeps him off the heat. Interesting. Ok Pacers, sign him to a contract paying him $8 million for the rest of the year, then we can trade Taj Gibson for him and a couple of draft picks and you seriously strengthen your bench and interior?
  18. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 31, 2014 -> 06:17 PM) Seattle can win the game, but Russell Wilson will have to be a bit more than the mere game manager he has been in the playoffs. Peyton will keep pushing the envelope, Seattle cannot let them get a big lead Add in a big play be Seattles D, a-la Tracy Porter...would help a ton.
