  1. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 08:56 PM) Lost in all this is Hector is pitching very good once again. I love our starting pitchers. Started off a bit rocky, then cranked down and got a rhythm after about the 3rd inning. 9 in a row retired before that bloop by AJ.
  2. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 08:48 PM) It's tough to tell , if Robin throw his flag you'd go with inconclusive. The only way Alexei scores is aiming that lead foot to the middle of the plate hoping to knock Aj's foot out of the way instead of going around it. If Alexei'd been able to drag his back foot he'd have been safe also, the ump probably had a good view of that one from where he was.
  3. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 08:43 PM) Alexei beat the throw easy but AJ's foot knocked Alexei's foot from touching the plate. AJ's foot might not have blocked him all the way, that's the one thing I'm less sure about. Alexei might very well have clipped a portion of it with that lead foot.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 08:43 PM) Wasn't his left leg dragging across the plate too? Any other catcher and Hawk would have just blown his heart right open. His back leg was elevated in one shot.
  5. Hawk may actually be right, AJ may have just deflected Alexei enough there to keep the run from scoring.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 08:12 PM) 1767 to be exact Yea, Hawk read the numbers off. Over 5000 RBI's in one shot.
  7. Santiago giving up the usual combination of long at bats and baserunners without anything scoring.
  8. What's that, 1500+ home runs in one shot? Robinson, Billy Williams, Aaron.
  9. Wow, De Aza must have gotten one of the worst jumps in human history.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 07:28 PM) Enough time that I don't think it's clear that electric cars are the cars of the future, if you expect to see much of a difference from an environmental perspective. Although, who knows...maybe someone comes up with a solar electric charger or some s***. (Just so it's said, there's a huge environmental difference from not having to power down and power up a large power plant every day. Create overnight demand for some of the extra energy and you make the 2nd law of thermodynamics work for you).
  11. In completely unforeseeable coincidence, anti-vaccine church hit by measles outbreak.
  12. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 12:06 PM) Even though one of the guys who murdered him paraded around social media bragging about how he was going to kill (or had killed) some white people. If George Zimmerman had tweeted 2 days before shooting Trayvon Martin "THESE FILTHY APES MAKE ME SICK #HATEBLACKS" you'd go absolutely ballistic. But the other way around and you have this mood of vindication in your post that three murderers are already weaseling out of charges they clearly deserve. Yes, remarkable isn't it, the one who tweeted that he hated white people wound up hanging around with white people. I mean, isn't it obvious what happened? You can't trust white people in this country. They've even rigged the laws to let them do completely insane things like carry guns around on the street! The message of this killing is obvious, you absolutely need to panic when you see a group coming towards you if there is a white person in that group.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 02:05 PM) Every talent evaluator on the score and espn1000 says he projects as a left tackle because of his size and athleticism. And they project him to be dominant because of his attitude. It's all projections though, he could very well end up staying at guard Either way, there has been a run on offensive line in the first round each of the last couple years including both tackles and guards. Tackles go first but guards have been steadily marching into the latter half of the first round.
  14. By the way, the DA in the Australian murder case has declined to seek hate crime charges. The reason given in his statement to the Press? Well, they couldn't prove that the killing was racially motivated. Mostly because the 3 people in custody consist of 1 African American, 1 Caucasian, and 1 half-African/half Caucasian.
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 08:32 PM) Rios with crickets and well deserved. No one booed though. Big difference for him from Toronto.
  16. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 08:22 PM) De Aza another total crap job running the bases, should be at 3rd not 2nd. Hawk and Steve are tired of De Aza bigtime. Rangers announcers didn't notice.
  17. Nice ovation for and cap tip by the Rangers catcher as he comes out.
  18. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 08:15 PM) Sale nasty so far. That wasn't fair at all.
