Dunn is not "wrecking the lineup" with his presence. AJ Pierzynski would not be helping the number of errors at short stop. Otherwise, yes, I think Robin has absolutely failed at his job this season. This team is much more talented than how it is playing. If Konerko is finished, fine, they're not as good of a team as they were last year, but there's zero reason for them to be this much worse.

Unless he was waving the gun out of the window, the first time Martin could have seen that he was armed was during the confrontation, and by all accounts there were only a few seconds in there. There was never time to say "oh s*** this guy has a gun and is chasing me", by the time the gun could have been seen they were already right next to each other. He may well have seen that the guy was armed or realized during the confrontation, but only 2 people knew that...one who won't tell you and one who is dead.
