QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 02:13 PM) Well now Wisconsin just has to keep it under 10 because Berg has to sit the rest of the half with 2 fouls. And they immediately take the lead after you write this post.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:58 PM) Actually it's $13M per . . . according to BR. Man, for a team that shouldn't win 75 games, that's terrible.
-
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:46 PM) What about you using the big scary $40M though? Unlike you, I'll happily admit that it's $10 million a year

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:50 PM) Southern Miss sucks, in no way do I want them in the tourney. Wow, what a last minute -
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:41 PM) Wait a second, Balta . . . If we could just get it into your head that the white sox aren't rebuilding...

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:10 PM) What's he owed? Currently $57 million ($14.25 million a year for the next 4 years) -
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 01:15 PM) Settle down Balta Sanchez better be headed down too. I don't see him as being ready He's clearly not ready yet...but maybe having someone breathing down his neck will be what Gordon needs...

QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 12:58 PM) I don't think there's any pressure on Indiana today. F*** that S*** and win this F***ing game.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 12:53 PM) Judging by past statements from Hahn the Sox are going to take it very cautiously with Danks rehab. They'd be silly not to, he's owed over $60M. Just to repeat the first part of that quote. -

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 12:33 PM) Even though there's been a lot of optimism surrounding Danks rehab, there's nothing that is abnormal about this impending trip to the DL. I love how you refer to it as "Impending" as though it's completely guaranteed. -

QUOTE (southside_hitman @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 11:58 AM) Hitting with power to Right field is not something that Chicago Vice just put into his repertoire. He did it many times last season. I did not check the stats but I would not be surprised if half of his home runs went to Right or Right Center last season. It seems that way from memory. We all know his areas of weakness at the plate and Hawk and Stone have discussed it on-air many times. I agree with their suggestion that Viciedo move up in the batters box or even move a bit closer to the plate. Viciedo has so much trouble with the inside pitch, particularly the up and in pitch, that moving up in the batters box or moving closer to the plate would seemingly make things worse rather than better. Moving closer to the plate would let him cover the outside pitch, but he already covers that pitch. He'd be tying himself up even worse. -

QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 11:40 AM) Not too surprising; NBC's D.J. Short is reporting that Danks may begin the season of the DL. John Danks might begin the season on the DL There's nothing new in that. -
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 11:30 AM) If TMZ can report Liil Wayne is dead, Steve can be wrong about Rose's return. Although if he is somehow right, Ill laugh. Dude, that's only life and death. This is basketball.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 11:19 AM) Well at least Steve didn't buy a billboard this time I might have believed him more if he had...
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 11:15 AM) Does the board at flapship convene and force Steve out if he is wrong? If it doesn't involve disemboweling, it's not enough... Anyway, now I have to find a bar for Monday with the full NBA package. Suddenly night has become more difficult. And I'm already using up all my red shirts on IU games!

QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 11:12 AM) Carlos Sanchez is the only player still in big league camp without any major league experience. YOU SEE THAT GORDON? YOU SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING OVER YOUR SHOULDER?!?!
-
Can we ban him if he's wrong? Some level of vengeance would seem appropriate...

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 15, 2013 -> 10:35 PM) Anybody else thing Jennings is due for a regression when he starts catching passes from Cassel/Ponder as opposed to Rodgers/Favre? He also has a running game now though. That said, a regression from 36 receptions and 366 yards is fairly difficult to do.
-
QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 09:56 AM) If there appears to be a replacement, I'd say he'd be a cooked goose mid-season. If he plays like last year, he's safe though. Probably still would get non-tendered after the year. Remember that he wasn't "horrible" last year so he'd almost certainly need to regress this year to get displaced before the end of the season. It might depend on other teams as well. If the Sox fall out of the race for whatever reason, and a team decides they'd be willing to pay $1 million of Beckham's salary and give up a little something to fill in for an injury, I could see them doing it. But I can't see them dumping Beckham for a rookie mid-season if the Sox stay in contention. He is definitely a non-tender candidate at the end of the year, though.
