QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 06:14 PM) Lovie Smith never pulls QBs when he should. Hanie is just clueless out there. Be honest...how anxious for the McCown era are you? The fact that Hanie at least has thrown 0 INT's counts for something in this mess of a game.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 06:12 PM) I hope and should be agreeing with you guys considering how much I hate Tebow and think he's bad. But with the luck he's had lately I wouldnt be surprised. It's better to have Peppers on your side than Luck. At least for this year.

It would be stellar to pull off another 3 points and make this a 2 possession game.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 06:06 PM) And now we get to watch a bad QB somehow lead his team to victory against us. Literally is there any doubt he's about to do it again? With the Bears' defense, yes, there's plenty of reason to doubt Tebow here.

Braun tests postitive for PEDs
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 05:26 PM) JeffPassan Jeff Passan Another source said WADA lab tests B sample using IRMS -- a carbon-isotope-ratio test. Experts say false positives are almost impossible. Yeah, that's a solid confirmation of a manufactured, non-body-produced testosterone being present in the system. They really went all out to confirm that this was nothing natural if they're throwing mass specs at the tests.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 05:50 PM) At least something is happening in that game. I'd rather be watching some defense. Or at least a close game. Then again, I keep flipping channels away anyway.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 05:48 PM) Translation = This is another game where the QB is doing nothing to put his team into a position to win but the defense is playing out of their minds. The one thing he hasn't done is turn the ball over, so he hasn't put the Bears in position to win either.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 05:30 PM) This is almost unwatchable. The Hawks game can't start soon enough. It could be worse. You could have the Packers up 31-0 on the Raiders.

I guess the thinking there must be that teams can't team up the multiples if the guys actually hit FA, and teams that are in small markets are much more likely to be under the cap enough to offer a max deal, which is probably true.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 04:37 PM) Totally different topic: I love the Pacers signing David West for 2-20. He's easily worth that if he's healthy, and if he isn't healthy they're not totally screwed due to the short length and reasonable price. He also fills a need as they needed another big and another player that can put the ball in the basket. He didn't go to Boston? Man, i'm so out of touch.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 04:30 PM) Yeah, it's a little odd to me, it seems to encourage guys to wait to hit free agency rather than signing an extension. I get the extend-and-trade related limitations, but I don't see why his current team can't sign him to a full extension right now. If I read that right, his current team can sign him to an extension right now, but they just can't trade him for 6 months if they do so?

Sox Post Winter Meetings
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 04:26 PM) Point is, Danks value is less than Santos. If Williams asks for player A from the Red Sox for Santos, he is not going to get him for Danks most likely. Then either don't trade Santos, or don't rush to trade Santos and get done what needs to happen with Danks first. Effective negotiation tactics aren't as obscure as you're trying to make them out to be.

Sox Post Winter Meetings
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Dec 11, 2011 -> 04:18 PM) What if Williams was planning on asking Boston for the same players for Danks as he was for Santos? If he offers the Red Sox Santos, he loses leverage on Danks. Then, um, trade Danks. The team has to trade Danks. The team doesn't have to trade Santos. Take the players from Boston for Danks and then move on and see what else you can get for Santos.
