QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 04:15 PM) But massive props to Juan for turning into a MLB caliber player these last few days. Are there any other teams other than Florida who have let him go that we play? Can we put him against the Dodgers?

6/30 Games
QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) When I made my Jordan Danks post, I wasn't even thinking about big brother. But, judging by stats only, because I don't see him play, it looks as if he has improved from last year, so who's to say he won't continue improving. I hear he is an excellent CF, and Sox will need a backup CF next year. Lilli is barely adequate, especially after his sleepwalking play last Tuesday night in Denver. Also, Sox must put Danks on 40 man next year or risk losing him. Lilli will never be a big league hitter -- . Of course, Young Danks will have to continue doing well and play well in ST next year, and if we trade for a CF veteran, then all of this changes. The thing that makes me extremely skeptical is that his strikeout pace is just as bad as it was last year.

Guys that are becoming legit prospects
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 03:34 PM) Not at all, just that it's entirely possible and probably likely that Kuhn would go through a similar adjustment period and that he is not as good defensively as Morel. There is a drastic difference between the minors and the majors and the grass is not always greener. Plus Morel also had the AAA adjustment step in there last year too.

Cowley vs SoxTalk
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) Probably Bruney, even though I do actually like Bruney. If the Sox are still running with a 6 man rotation, they have a long reliever in whichever starter is on his throw day, and that's really all you need that isn't bring provided. I have complete faith in Santos, Crain, Thornton, Sale, and, to some extent, even Ohman. The pitching is absolutely fine. What this team needs is offense. Of course, that would be assuming Ozzie would manage it properly. I believe 100% that he would screw that up. The biggest problem with that bullpen is that, especially with Thornton's struggles...it's really weak against RH batters.
