  1. There's your run John.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:53 PM) I admit I go overboard with young prospects. My obsession started in '08 when I subscribed to BA online. And it's no coincidence that around that time or a year later I started killing the Sox for their ineptitude. But even if I wasn't that into them (prospects) I'd feel the same about Washington. They've got legit pieces but that's not an easy division and to pretend they're suddenly going to double their attendance without a world series win is lunacy.
  3. Stop hitting the ball to CF!
  4. Alex Rios would, um, NOT have had that.
  5. THE STEALTH ELF STRIKES AGAIN!
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:41 PM) Nice to see Danks looking a lot more into it tonight. Wait, that can't be Juan Pierre's fault, I'm confused.
  7. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) lol, no chance Ohio St loses 2002. They shouldnt either. It's been 10 years. If the NCAA goes that far back to take away a title, just about ever team from the 90s and 80s are in trouble. I mean you could do it, but you better have something really new and really blatant that comes out.
  8. "Robin will visit each of the Sox minor league affiliates over the summer evaluating performance and then report back to Buddy."
  9. Juan Pierre made everyone in this lineup hit the ball towards Guttierez!
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:36 PM) We would if we had Strasburg, Harper and Zimmerman. I know Washington's attendance isn't great now. That's why I said potential. They were 23rd in the league last year with Stras for part of the year and Zimmerman for the full year. Pretty much every team has the potential to sell out every game under this useless of a standard.
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:35 PM) No but it is his fault he has a 9% successful steal rate. Juan Pierre caused the Mississippi floods and the BP oil spill!
  12. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:34 PM) Hawk already playing the "pitcher is amazing, what can we do?" card. Is he lying?
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:32 PM) JP is the best f*** all the rest. It's Juan Pierre's fault that the economy has 9% unemployment!
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) Marlins? lol. Florida is a terrible sports state outside of college football. Washington is not. You're honestly going to tell me in Strasburg an Harper that they don't have the potential to sell-out every night? Yeah, Washington. They'd never have 2 separate franchises move out of there to the Midwest! Funny story. The Nats actually are the 21st team in average attendance this year. Know who's #20? The White Sox. Do the White Sox have the potential to sell out every night?
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) CG told him to go...............Jeff Cox waving his arms to go how is this not on JP. Pierre wouldn't have been facing Jeff Cox when he's turning around and heading back to 2b.
  16. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) Carlos hit a flyball deep to LF, which the LF had in his glove until he fell on his ass. Ball popped out and Juan couldn't decide what to do. Juan had seen it get caught and turned around, he didn't see the ball come loose and was heading back to first while Quentin was heading towards 2nd, Quentin had to tell him the ball had been dropped then Pierre had to recover and head towards 3rd before Carlos passed him.
  17. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:25 PM) Yeah FN seriously Juan Pierre is a LF. He should have installed cameras throughout LF that feed to the roof of his hat so that he can see what happens on plays like that. It's absolutely inexcusable that he doesn't have a network of cameras covering LF. Release him until he gets the cameras installed.
  18. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) Pierre continues to cost this team. Seriously?
  19. Yeah, that's hard to blame Pierre for.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:21 PM) They won't have to worry about that until like 2017 at the earliest. Actually, they have to worry about it a lot earlier if these guys come around. 2014-2015 the guys start hitting arbitration, and if they're as good as you want us to believe they are, then they're going to be $10 million candidates for arb year 1. And that's also when Werth is probably going to be declining.
  21. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:14 PM) Will, unless they can trade him somehow. I still can't believe how bad of a decision that was. I totally understand why they did it, it's the same move as the Tigers making in 2004/2005 when they signed IRoid and Ordonez to try to get back some respectability. But they might wind up in trouble even if that team somehow suddenly can afford a $120 million salary.
  22. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:13 PM) Um, no. They emptied out their system last year for Greinke and Marcum. Thankfully the White Sox never trade away players from their minors, so I can't laugh at this as being an excuse for them but not us.
  23. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:12 PM) Nimmo to the Mets. This means that regime has finally decided to draft for upside, and will actually pay for it. Nimmo won't be cheap. Must be nice. IF he won't be cheap right now...then that franchise might not sign him.
  24. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:11 PM) They have an excuse, though. We don't. Yeah, they have one of the best records in the MLB for the last 10 years, so they've never drafted highly. Oh, wait, that IS our excuse. But that doesn't count.
  25. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 08:05 PM) I hope this game is worth my time With the way John has pitched lately, you'll know pretty darn quick.
