QUOTE (Andrew @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:41 PM) You mean like physically...standing there or hitting them... He looks late as s*** on 92mph to me. He's fouling them straight back. Especially that first one. He's almost right on them, just a little bit late.

Dunn is so close on these pitches.

14 does it again.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:34 PM) Coop already dismissed that idea while he was on the radio with Rongey the other day. It's easy to dismiss something now when you don't actually have to decide who leaves the rotation.

Ah, Quentin gets to bunt.

White Sox (Humber) v. Yankees (Burnett) 6:05pm
Good hustle by captain Jetes there. Who's bunting here, is it AJ?

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:31 PM) Nice call. This is Eduardo Nunez's first ever appearance in the OF outside of ST/minor league ball.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:29 PM) Ozzie still got outmanaged there. He also completely emptied the Yankees bench.

What would you do if you ran the White Sox?
Extend Phil Humber.

QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:28 PM) Maybe for long stretches without an off day though. Humber could get a start every 2nd or 3rd time through the rotation to get an extra day off for the rest of the staff. PRoblem is, I think this is our long stretch without an offday.

Wow, a late inning situation where everyone knows the guy is probably running. I thought you were supposed to bunt here. (Yes I know there are 2 outs)

White Sox (Humber) v. Yankees (Burnett) 6:05pm
QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:25 PM) 6 man rotation? Is it rational? With a 25 man roster, not for a long stretch.

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:24 PM) Sale will only get better when his velocity increases in the next month or so. He'll be back up around triple digits in May/June. Dude, he just hit 100.

White Sox (Humber) v. Yankees (Burnett) 6:05pm
Fans made a little noise after a triple digits pitch.

White Sox (Humber) v. Yankees (Burnett) 6:05pm
Standing ovation for Humber.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 09:03 PM) Nice jinx!! I said nothing about the no hitter.

White Sox (Humber) v. Yankees (Burnett) 6:05pm
I had to maneuver around about 2 dozen down trees and a destroyed greenhouse, but I'm still here in enough time to taunt fathom for saying how Humber had no shot against the Yankees.

QUOTE (typewritermender @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 07:07 PM) Also make Santos our closer, Thornton our SU, move Humber to the pen and give Sale a shot at a start or 2 before Peavy gets back. And stop using that stupid Sunday lineup. And never give Konerko a full day off (DH is fine) unless we've won at least 5 games in a row. Man, Konerko's going to be exhausted.

The Democrat Thread
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 07:06 PM) Nope. But I also believed Obama wouldn't be a terrible President who caved in to Republicans at every turn, so who knows. Oh, ok, so your comparison of Bachmann and Buchanan to Obama and a hypothetical Republican is a flawed comparison inapplicable to this situation because you've just accepted a difference. So since you acknowledge that difference, why do you refuse to oppose mining near Grand Canyon National Park?

The Democrat Thread
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 06:52 PM) If you choices for major party candidates were Bachmann or Buchanon, would you vote for Bachmann because she's slightly less terrible than Buchanon? So, you believe that Al Gore and George W. Bush both would have done this:

Link I'm not sure the legal logic is wrong, but man that's Bizarre. Thats a whole lot of statutes being brought to bear here. I'm wondering whether there isn't a good chance this drags things out longer, if this decision is stayed on appeal.

White Sox (Humber) v. Yankees (Burnett) 6:05pm
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 06:16 PM) Over/under on home runs by Yankees is 2.5. With Humber's poor control and his tendency to hang offspeed pitches, Jeff Gray and Tony Pena are going to get a lot of work tonight. Hopefully our offense ends their hibernation and wins this game.
