QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 08:46 PM) Kind of assumed that the 50 or so people still working at the plant are basically sacrificing themselves. It was up to 180 yesterday.

Eventually some shows get chopped.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 10:48 PM) LeBron more unlikeable off the court and overall imo, Wade more unlikeable on the court. Wade's more likeable off the court? With the "Family" things?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 08:31 PM) And they are pretty tough about it. Ask Pete Rose. Well, they're pretty tough about certain offenses.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 08:28 AM) Stone was on the other day saying Morel is a lock at 3B because A. Even if he doesn't hit, the Sox have plenty of offense and B. Danks and Buehrle throw cutters and Peavy is a sinkerballer. It is more important to have some defense at 3B. The Hawk was selling the same point yesterday during the game.

JR's still a businessman. Anything he can say that puts butts in the seats earns him money.

At this point, it's 4% of the payroll guys. It's not hurting that much.

QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 06:49 PM) I'd volunteer to be a tackling dummy for 100k. As long as you got health care/life insurance after you were done to pay for treatment of your decaying damaged brain.

QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 06:40 PM) Hit off the top of the wall. It wasn't a homer. Depends on the park ground rules. I think it hit 2 fences to carom back out.

5-3 Giant win final.

Ground rule 2b for Morel, off of a big league pitcher.

Good 1/2 inning by Infante. He's the only guy to retire Belt today.

The head of the U.S. NRC testified before Congress today and said that things are much, much worse than what the Japanese have currently admitted. He recommended that U.S. citizens evacuate to > 50 miles from the plant. It also sounds a lot like the people currently working at the plant are being exposed to potentially lethal levels of radiation.

De Aza hits the ball off the top of the wall and is thrown out pretty easily trying to take 3rd. Ozzie arguing it was a HR. Stone thinks Ozzie's wrong, I actually think Ozzie's right, there was a double-ricochet off the bullpen wall.

Ohman gives up a couple hits but no runs.

2 run HR Lillibridge.

Another poor day with the Bats for Morel, yet still not striking out. Couple weak ground balls and a flyout.

Belt with an RBI double

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 05:29 PM) some guy who used to pitch for the Cubs. Anyone know if this Eldred on the Giants is related to Cal at all? No, he's over 30 years old.

Kid named "Belt" just went deep, 2-1 Giants. Can't tell who's pitching, #60. Gray?

Could you elaborate?

Whitesox.com is auctioning off the hats the guys are wearing today (with autographs). They'll appear on March 21.

Lincecum's changeup has made some of these guys look bad.

5 innings, 1 run is the line for M-56.

Morel with a nice barehanded pickup for the out on a bunt attempt.
