  1. Game 2’s stupidity I’m just used to. LaRussa gives away games like that. It’s awful, but it’s nothing new. Game 1 though is something else. For a veteran team that fashions itself a championship contender to come out like that, completely scatterbrained and unfocused and unprepared, just after a 2 game break, against a division opponent early in the season? That’s a new one on me. I might reach back to the ridiculously poor fundamentals we saw early in 2013 for a comp. That simply shouldn’t be happening, and I don’t know what else to say.
  2. Abreu had the ball in the second that was originally called an error and then changed to a hit.
  3. Yes it’s early but let’s play this. As of now Cleveland has a +22 run differential on the season. That is currently good for third best in baseball. it will probably fall to 4th because the Giants have a 5 run lead, unless someone hits their pitcher, I wonder if he’s any good. Meanwhile the white Sox have a -5 run differential, which would be tied for 19th. Cleveland has the same record as the White Sox, but so far they look to be playing legitimately solid baseball.
  4. Kasper accidentally said Ruiz was in to hit and I believed him
  5. He’s gonna win a manager of the year award for how smrt this move is.
  6. Is that Bummer’s first ground ball out of the year?
  7. Yes exactly. LaRussa said he wanted the position player with Eloy out.
  8. How the bloody hell did Bummer strike out Kwan?
  9. Harrison left with shoulder soreness
  10. 1 run scored, no-hitter ended, Engel thrown out at home.
  11. Must score here...but it's Mendick and Harrison so...
  12. Well this lineup would have a good chance of losing to a AAA team and it has 2 solid starting pitchers out of 5.
  13. That’s the same lineup type we saw in the double header where we clinched the Central.
  14. Well thank goodness that’s over with.
  15. And that's a clean 0/20 for Robert
  16. Haseley into RF, Foster into the game.
  17. Robert 0 for his last 19
  18. I think we already did: there’s a balance right now between thinking this might be an actual problem against RHP and people pointing out that the White Sox have a huge amount of hard contact that hasn’t yet turned into hits. Not sure how this filters out in the end, if you’re worried already go watch highlights of the 2nd inning and crack open a bottle of whiskey.
  19. Apparently Robert now 0 for his last 18.
  20. I would like to be the first to suggest the White Sox need an entirely new infield.
