The Teahen play was a grounder to 3rd with guys on 1st and second. Teahen tagged 3rd for the first out but threw wide to Konerko, pulling Paulie off the bag and missing the chance at a DP.

Official 2010-11 NFL Thread
QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 31, 2010 -> 08:53 PM) Long read but worth it: http://thetribunalbar.wordpress.com/2010/08/30/753/ This guy's blog covers in detail the rise and fall of the Angelo regime. It pretty much helps explain why the Bears are mediocre, basically it has to do with Jerry Angelo's terrible drafting, blatant and outright neglect of the OL, inability to draft WRs, and fetish for making odd DL choices. He actually started off halfway decent and looking at the drafts and how the team was being built I can actually justify the fact that I used to defend his moves. Since 2007 his drafts have been brutal. Alex Brown in the 4th was the best pick in Angelo's tenure? I'm not sure I buy that from the author. He calls Briggs a potential HOFer a few lines later. The more I read this...this guy really likes Alex Brown. And complaining about letting Berrian walk?

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) Considering the broadcast hasn't even shown anyone warming up I wonder if Sergio is going to get 2 innings of work. I sure hope not. Sale and Santos were both warming before the 8th.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) I think we might have passed the Rays the past month for not having the worst DH numbers in the AL. Amongst AL contenders sure... In the whole AL? Seattle's laughing at you. They have a .590 OPS out of their DH spot. That's 100 points worse than the Rays.

I'm not sure about Castro's bunting skills...if he's decent at it I can tolerate playing for 1 here.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) Off day tomorrow so what do we do with the 9th? Sale or let Santos go two? Or Linebrink? roll of the dice anymore It's absolutely got to be Sale.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:27 PM) More Ozzieball. Did we have a CS on Monday? I'm wondering if we had one in all 3 games this series.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:26 PM) It hasn't done any wonders for their way record either yet they have out produced most teams in scoring. The other teams have to play in Target field as well. Other teams have just as much problem hitting the ball out of Target Field as the Twins do.

There appears to be an armed hostage situation at the headquarters of the Discovery channel. This may be the guy's legitimate web page of demands.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:16 PM) It 's interesting to look at the Twins offense stats. individual stats don't wow anyone but they do well collectively. They've been scoring a lot of runs without the long ball. Their approach at the plate is not all or nothing. A huge part of the reason that they've done it without the long ball is that Target field has been the worst HR hitters ballpark in baseball. The Twins have been one of the most potent HR hitting ballclubs in the league on the road...they've hit 80 HR on the road, for #3 int he AL.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:12 PM) I don't think it's a good idea to make Castro the everyday catcher next year, either. Coming into today, we'd given up 127 steals, the Indians only 67....so 129 now. If he wouldn't have held onto that ball so long on the pitchout against Nix, Ramirez wouldn't have ended up having to block the base and getting spiked. Would be nice to have those two runs our defense gave away back about right now. Wha? Is ESPN completely wrong, or are you looking at the wrong color Sox? ESPN has the Bosox having given up 127, the ChiSox given up 81. The White Sox have stolen 125 according to ESPN. That's at least close to your number, and Cleveland has stolen 67.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) I should resurrect my Ozzie Ball stat tracker. I couldn't help but think about that when Teahen was thrown out stealing last night on a pitchout.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:04 PM) When Thornton gets back, just stretch out Chris Sale? Lower back stiffness can't cost Freddy too many starts. With the extra offday tomorrow, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes his next start if it's just "Stiffness".

QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Sep 1, 2010 -> 02:02 PM) It should be a fairly interesting race actually, I believe the DSCC made a 500k ad buy in Alaska, that would be the equivalent of spending 8 million in a state like PA or NY. Did that happen today?
