Lighten up, Francis. “Fan” is short for “fanatic,” and we are on an internet message board for the most ardent White Sox fans. The baseball decisions have been atrocious, and we fans have a right to be angry. Live with it. I’m angry too, and I have every reason to believe this season is long, and that talent will rise to the top. This team could still win 90 games despite his managing errors. However, the in game decisions TLR has made show a sincere lack of current baseball acumen, a desperate lack of awareness of his current players and the matchups, and a lack of knowledge of how the game has changed. It’s brutal, and in the postseason, where margins are razor thin, any AL manager will make TLR2021 look like Jerry Manuel getting lapped by Sweet Lou back in 2000. There’s no rhythm to this team right now, and baseball is a game where good teams thrive on rhythm and knowing their roles. Nobody has any fucking idea what their roles are. Nobody has any idea when to expect to be in the lineup or where they will hit. Nobody really knows what the sequence of the bullpen is. It’s worrisome as hell. We are one of 30 teams at the very top of this sport in the world. We deserve better than this dogshit. Period.

It looks as though he has limited range, and he's made a few bad throws/bobbled balls to get 1 instead of 2 or zero instead of 1 out. I just read that he was a minor league gold glover. If he has no pop and his defense is below average it seems he couldn't possibly have a batting average high enough to justify continuing to run him back out there. How long of a leash will he have? He does not look like a major leaguer so far.

I don’t get it. If Eloy had a great year, in my mind, with his defensive liabilities being a minus, and with his not stellar walk rate and his lower obp, I was penciling him in for a max of 3.5-4 wins. I thought his floor was 2.5-3. He may even get .5-1 win coming back in August if that’s I think we are in a position given the depth to replace his production at about 1-5-2 wins overall. It seems like we lost probably about 2 wins, maybr 2.5, maybe even less than that. I don’t think it drastically alters the White Sox considering we have so many contributors.
