  4. let's get some early runs and destroy them..
  5. The Sox yeah they won but I wasn't happy with the two games against the Pirates.. they did not look good and I don't care who we played.
  6. Is this old because I just discovered it..
  7. I hate the way they pronounce things and stress them...
  8. I was also at the game and it was a great crowd.. I have been to a few exciting games.. I was at the Cubs brawl game, Cintron 3 run hr to win it in the 8th, Cleveland extra innings Iguchi wins it, and today's game.. I'm lucky.
  9. I'll be at the game to watch the Sox extend their winning streak... Keep it up Garland.. don't do anything stupid.

  12. QUOTE(lukeman89 @ Jun 19, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) here is a small sample size of what i know about the opposite sex they have vaginas between their legs ('cept your mom) they suck at driving they know nothing about baseball they make less money than men they have too many pairs of shoes they are b****es they can sense when a man is being insecure, and they done find it attractive they know when a man is kissing up to them, and they dont find it attractive using "Hey i like that shirt, it hides your belly really well" as a pick-up line works like a charm. i can go on, but i figure if i leave you with a sample size larger than jon garland's pitching stats in the 9th inning of a start in 2006 you can get some sort of an idea of my knowledge of women You are something I never want to be and I thank you for showing me that there are still idiots in the world.
  13. QUOTE(FlaCWS @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 01:18 PM) I think that is extreme but I think you have a point. Under your scenario it would be very unfair to the NL, however under the current scenario it is pretty unfair to the AL. Think about it, when the NL has to use a DH, is that really a penalty? Granted, they don't plan in the offseason for a full-time guy at that spot, a la Thome, Papi or Big Hurt, but they definetely have a professional hitter to plug into the position. On the other hand, the AL pitchers NEVER get to bat, so when they are in NL parks it is much less fair to them, IMO, than it is for NL teams in AL parks. Here's the bottom line: MLB needs to friggin standardize one way or the other. I happen to be pro DH, but if they decide pitchers hit all around, so be it. Do it one way or the other. Or, go back to no interleague play. It's ridiculous already to have two rules for 30-plus years. Most pitchers can't bat anyway... Just ban the DH so the leagues aren't unfair. Make everyone who is in the lineup play in the field.
  14. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 01:14 PM) I'd just like to see the DH gone from the game period. thank you
  15. I hope they go into deep extra innings and some pitchers get used too much to wreck the bullpen for their next series.
  16. I think we should get rid of the DH. Without the DH people like Padilla would have to bat so he would think about not throwing at people because he might die when he is up to bat.
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 12:11 PM) I assume Paulie since we are facing a lefty. I thought I heard Hawk and DJ say that they thought Thome would start the last game of the series and we are facing a lefty so I think that sounds right.
  18. Looks alright, I'm not really in favor of the background or the 2-2 at different levels.......
  19. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 16, 2006 -> 06:20 PM) I have the feeling 4 isn't going to be enough, lets get 8. I think four will be enough.. Call me crazy
  20. Guillen was not out of line. He may have gone a little overboard but overall I think Tracey should have hit Blalock and Guillen just acted out of frustration.
