QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) Quick guys, name me two starting pitchers with at least 10 starts that have not had two bad outings this year Seriously, 11 runs? That's not just bad, that is pathetic. PK drives in another.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 03:11 PM) Milk, what's up with you lately? I've never see you this negative before. Haha Seriously, I'm only negative towards the aspects that deserve it. This offense is insane, and they're showing why right now.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) Do you get sick of yourself sometimes? Sometimes. I'm just trying to make my point in a way that won't piss off the homers. My point is completely valid, but it's seen as being needlessly pessimistic.

Jim Thome is pretty good. Can he pitch?

When's the last time a team won the WS without a really good rotation? I'm not saying the starters can't turn it around, but they're sure making it look scary right now.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) What the f*** does that have to do with anything? ANd for the record I was. I hope you aren't this embarassing in real life. I feel sorry for the people you are around if you do. Ha, you really can't argue with someone without getting personal, can you? Be pissed at Buehrle's s*** effort, not me.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 02:47 PM) LOL. Yah f*** you Mark Buerhle, what have you ever done for us? Seriously. Do you even think about what you type? You are embarassing. I'm surprised you're actually around. You weren't here yesterday when Vazquez was getting pounded.

Mark Buehrle does not pitch over errors. It is fact.

QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) it sounds ridiculous because we are winning, but still, the starting pitching has just not been impressive. we certainly dont have a santana, liriano 1,2 punch. liriano may never lose a game again. Our starters have been so disappointing. Remember how it was supposed to be the best 5-man rotation in baseball history or some s*** like that? Every other aspect of our team has been good to great for most of the year. The rotation has been just s***. A bunch of over-paid, over-hyped pitchers.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) I can't believe Zambrano has a sub 3 ERA as tempermental as he is. That's pretty crazy that he is top 6 in ERA in the NL. It's because he's actually good.

How disappointing has our starting pitching been this year? Good Lord. And that first inning looked like the Bad News Bears.

QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 06:07 PM) So you think we should get rid of Buehrle as well, is that it? Hey, Jon Garland wouldn've never had a monster season like he ahd last year if we'd have shipped him off after ONE bad YEAR, much less a handful of games. Haha, what the f***?

QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 05:55 PM) He's had quality starts, and he's picked up wins that he shouldn't have perhaps, same as many others. Buehrle has had onconsistent starts, should we trade him? Christ, everyone has bad starts and stretches. Let's not forget that we won this game. As far as I'm concerned, anybody here who is still obsessed with trading Garland is being utterly ridiculous. Against the Royals, yeah. No s***? I forgot Buehrle had an ERA OVER 5! I'm very grateful for that, but it had very little to do with Vazquez.

QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) This place never changes. Yeah, I know. Some posters still wonder why other posters have legitimate concerns about the team. You'd think that most would see that, halfway through the season, there are some definite problems. It must be a fluke to have an ERA over 5 at the halfway point.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 05:39 PM) Ehh -- over his career, his post all-star break ERA is almost a half a run lower than his pre all-star break ERA (4.51 to 4.09). I wouldn't put too much stock into the year in New York. I'm going by the fact that he has to face AL hitting. He was great for a while with NY, then teams saw him a few times and bombed him. I see Vazquez as a guy who has had years to correct his approach at pitching, to keep his head in the game and not let things blow up because one thing went wrong. He hasn't been able to change that, and that's why he's a thrower and not a pitcher. He didn't even want to come back to the AL, according to Ozzie, which shows me he's probably scared of getting lit up by far superior offenses.
