There are serious problems for this team right now. Three starters have really bad ERA's. They make like 25 million dollars. That is way past unacceptable. And Widger cannot call a baseball game anymore. Those are real problems that will bite us in the ass come playoff time. Whoever said we're like the 2005 Red Sox hit it right on the head. We can't have guys with ERA's of 4.65, 5.00, and 5.76 starting playoff games. Teams with great offenses and bad pitching usually don't win it all.

The bullpen has not been the problem. Early on in the year, sure, they were a problem. But, for a long period of time up to this point, they've been consistent to great. Widger has really lost his luster from last year. He can't hit now, and he certainly can't call a game. What's his CERA this year? Contreras has been bad for a few starts. I hope he gets his ass back on track And Politte...man. Get off this team. Oh, and I'm pretty confident, as are most here, that the Tigers will easily sweep the Pirates.

No chance he deserves it anymore. Besides, with the way he's been pitching, we should go with Halladay or Santana because we want home field advantage for the WS. Contreras hasn't been pitching well at all, let alone well enough to ensure that he'll shut down the NL all stars.

Cliff Politte can stay in Pittsburgh. He's done.

Politte can go hang himself with Brad Lidge.

Well, I hope Bobby likes to pitch 40 days in a row.
