  1. Thank you, Mackowiak. We needed that run. Now put in Anderson.
  2. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:17 PM) Why BMAC didn't just start the inning is beyond me. The bullpen only has 3 guys that can be counted on right now: Jenks, BMAC, and Cotts. Thornton is shakey, Politte is s***, and Nelson is washed up. Ozzie needs to start using BMAC as the "bridge guy" in the 6th and 7th. Despite what BMac just did, he's been a terrible reliever this year.
  3. Runner moves into 3rd. We're giving this game away.
  4. Well, Ozzie is an idiot today. Everyone and their brother knew Garland was done, but he sends him right back out there to give up a leadoff double. Now, our s***ty bullpen has to strand that runner there.
  5. And our offense answers right back after Garland blows it, and they score nothing.
  6. f*** Garland Go back to SoCal and smoke some more weed, you f***ing burnout
  7. Welcome back, Judy. What a piece of s***.
  8. Eh, now the start just looks average. I would've liked a dominating performance from Garland, but oh well.
  9. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 28, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) If they make another one, could they PLEASE cast Val Kilmer to play Gambit? Wow, that would be absolutely perfect. I never even thought of it, but now that you say it, it's great. And what is the connection between Juggernaut and X?
  10. I gotta say, I'm pretty encouraged after that inning (besides the pitch to Wells).
  11. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:18 PM) Smallball has wasted 2 outs in this game -- Uribe's bunt and Podsednik's caught stealing. What the hell did he do now?
  12. I hate when Pods gets caught stealing. Thanks for answering all my questions, guys.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 28, 2006 -> 01:10 PM) Fun Fact: That was Jon Garland's first 1-2-3 innning of the season. Also, he's still allowing WAY too many fly balls, he needs to keep his sinker down and start inducing some groundballs. I was at the game he started against Oakland. At one point, he retired to first two batters of the inning. I was about to turn to my friend and say that I think it's his first 1-2-3 of the game, maybe even the year, but then someone got a hit.
  14. Alright, I only got up about an hour ago and I've been putting in the air conditioners, so I haven't seen much of this game. I have two questions. Why is Cintron in for Iguchi and not Uribe? Did Hawk and DJ say that Thome broke someone's glove with a line drive?
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) Actually, Crede has turned it on of late. He was 1 for his last 18 going into the Oakland series but in his last 5 games, he's 7 for his last 21 (.333). He's starting to pick it up again. Oh, didn't realize he's been getting more hits of late. I don't remember much about last night's game. I was too pissed about the score and drunk to pay much more attention. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:41 PM) That's exactly what I was getting at. Get him on so the top of the order can come up and knock him in. Although he is a baseclogger. Oh well. Was a fun hypothetical. And Dye's average has been sinking like a stone as well. He was around .320 a couple weeks ago. Under .280 now....I think. Yeah, I'm not liking these trends. The hitting is gradually coming back down to earth, but the pitching (mainly bullpen) has stayed consistanly terrible.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 27, 2006 -> 11:37 PM) Hmm good point. Now obviously due to the home runs, A.J. will have an RBI total lower than those 2, but it shouldn't be THAT much lower. That's a bizarre difference in average between RISP spots and just nobody on or man only on 1st spots. Did you watch today's game? Sadly, yes. He did well today, but that doesn't change the fact that his average has been sinking like a stone for a few weeks. And judging by his career average, he just might keep falling.
