Bullpen Armageddon White Sox Loser
Alright, let's just accept the terrible bullpen and blackholes at the bottom of the lineup. Apparently, those holes will fix themselves every year from now on since it happened last year.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:41 PM) They are playing f***ing horrendous, but even Eck didn't save every game. I'm really not concerned, it's a long season and players are either peaking, getting top peaking, or slumping. Brace yourself but Dye will have a terrible week or two, as will Thome, and everyone else. It's the nature of sports. There's a difference between Dye/Thome and these relievers. Dye and Thome are everyday players that have proven year after year to be consistently good. Relievers are hit or miss, for the most part, and it's pretty normal for them to have career years and then disappear. Politte is not getting any better. It's obvious. Nelson is decent enough, but he's only gonna be in a game for a hitter or two, and he's gonna walk someone for each out he gets. And McCarthy just isn't cut out for the pen. He's been terrible. That many bad relievers just isn't gonna fly.

QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:36 PM) the bullpen just isn't cutting it. i know i even mentioned go trade for another center fielder. but right now our major concern is the pen. Its obvious that Pollite is burned out from last year, Cotts isn't lights out like last year. So lets see Hermy out, Pollite and Cotts not the same. KW also traded Marte and Vizciano. This is a complete turn from last years success. Yea we still have the young Jenks and BMac coming around and Thorton surprising everyone, but this bullpen is below medeocre. Were not making the playoffs w/ this bullpen KW needs to do what it takes to fine tune it. We need a righty setup man! I'm not as worried about Cotts BUT he needs to be more consistent. Pollite im afraid is damaged goods. KW needs to find a replacement and soon. Any suggestions? Is it too early to talk trades. We did hit June. McCarthy isn't coming around at all. He's an awful reliever.

I fail to see how people are jumping off a bridge when they state the fact that a few of our relievers are f***ing horrendous.

Can we please put the Crede banner back on top?
Nothing against Deploderer, but I think our record has been terrible since this new banner concept came about. I'm really superstitious.

Politte is done. That's painfully obvious. McCarthy couldn't a worse reliever if he tried. He's a horses*** excuse for a reliever.

Well, at least we still have the lead for now. Jose's gotta have like 70 pitches by now.

Not sure if that was a homer or not, but that's the payback for the interference if it wasn't.

Contreras might end up last 6 or 7 innings. That guy on the Blue Jays threw 50 pitches in 2 innings and he did it. Close call, but Pods is in there. Phew...

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 06:43 PM) Overswinging? From what I've seen, a lot of hitters are trying to hit 3 run homers instead of just moving the base runners up a few spots. Completely unlike 2004. Damn, leadoff guy on.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 06:43 PM) Pods is better in CF than Mackowiak, but that's not saying much. If the Sox could acquire a LF with Rickey Henderson in his prime type range, it could work out. Like Carl Crawford? I can wish...

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 06:32 PM) Why the f*** do you keep thinking this team doesn't care? Show me some damn evidence. Is it because they're not winning every game 11-0, they're suddenly not caring about losing? GMAFB. It's probably just me, but it seemed like Dye took his time getting to that hit.

Error to lead off the inning. We'd make them pay last year. Let's hope we do it now.

OG and KW have to f***ing do something about this s***. We look like the worst team in baseball right now, and we don't even seem to give a rat's ass about it. This team should be ashamed of itself.

Not you, too, Contreras. I'm getting tired of watching this team play recently.

Shades of... GULP, 2004?
All the guy said was that we've looked like the 2004 for team for the past week. That's entirely true. Can't hold leads, score a bunch of runs one game, then scrape a few across for the next few.

Spelling Bee
I feel these kids' parents are the kind that push them to be perfect to the point that the kids can't even enjoy themselves. On another note, I lost one spelling bee in my entire time in grade school. I never studied, but the words always stuck in my head after seeing them once or twice.
