  1. my God... the power I now hold... watch out posters... this time... its personal... B) :puke
  2. HaHa you can add that to your Mike Tyson related nightmares. I need to find out how to get that barfing icon
  3. well I mean I play baseball, know why you use a donut, but like since when did Frank start usin this in his training regimen? it must work. and it's pretty scary knowin a 6'4", 240 pound man can walk around buying giant metal sticks. haha.
  4. HAHA wow I am gonna have lotsa nightmares tonight. can ya imagine Frank takin a couple swings at you with that? oo wheres that guy with the barfin smiley??
  5. hey, this has been buggin me for awhile... I want answers! Does anybody knows anything about the Big Hurt taking his on deck swings with that big piece of metal? It looks like a piece of rebar. I think this is something he started last year, cause I remember him usin a donut in the 90's. anybody know ANYTHING about this? (i.e. why? when?)
  6. yah Jay Mironotti is gonna have a field day :fyou I think Frank kinda set himself up by saying something along the lines of "this organization has never had a player like me". I mean with all the great players this team has had... I don't doubt he's the best hitter we've ever had, but again that's me saying that. When he says it, it sounds kinda selfish. but he's my boy and I'll stand by him... like always...
  7. I don't want to sound overconfident, but if the 3,4,5 pitchers come together, we could be talking one badass team. I mean with our offense solidified, our 1-2 starters solid, and our bullpen strong as ever, I think they key is how Garland, Wright and mystery man #5 do. I think if we have 15 wins from garland, 14 from wright, and 10 from #5, I think we could be talking 100 wins.
  8. thank YOU for the friendly enthusiasm
  9. Sweet artical on Colon's effect on the rotation I dunno if anybody's read this, but it's a REALLY good article that makes ya wanna piss your pants thinkin bout the upcoming season... ooo the dominance! (this is my first link, let's hope it works, if not go to whitesox.com and click on the main article by Mychael Urban)
  10. wow Steff, sorry to dissapoint you, I'll be sure to think about your feelings next time I'm talkin with my friend :fyou
  11. Fritz Konstantelos. Used to broadcast on fridays I think with Mike North. They were the "Wise Guys"
  12. getting tickets through my uncle who used to be on 670 the Score. (if your in chicago area) and is rich as hell. haha so WhiteSoxPride don't get any of your nosebleed on me when I'm sittin 200 rows under you on the 1st base line. hahahaha love ya Mike. HAHAHA
  13. Lee doesn't have the cranial capacity or the natural art of hitting to be a DH. Lee doesn't understand hitting NEARLY as much as big frank. not only is Frank a natural hitter, but he studies th game, and knows how to hit. Lee doesn't have enough power or average to be an effective DH. plus add in his blunders on the bases, (Frank is at least smart in his running style, take away the non-sliding incident) and Lee would never succeed in a DH spot. plus, Reinsdorf loves Frank like a son, and would do anything short of give away money to keep him on the SS.
  14. I agree with hotsoxchick, MJ was a good bunter, and he was fast off the bunt too. Also, his hand should be a little farther up on the ball, him being left handed (me being a switch hitter) he has to have his left hand a little more towards to barrel of the bat, so he can make contact easier, with more control over the bat. If your hands are too close to the thin part of the bat, the ball will hit and blow right past you. haha.
  15. Yeah you guys can say that again. I never liked Nardi or wavin' wally. I mean who waves in Frank Thomas rounding second when the ball's already in the infield?? ugh... poor guys. I think it also shows how much better the Sox are than the Cubs by their manager last year being our 3rd base coach
  16. I think Hawk and DJ are great. Being former players (and not bad ones either) they have a great grasp of the game. Also, with the generation gap between them, they have differant views of the game. Plus they sure are better than Chip Caray!
  17. WOW The offseason really is getting bad guys. Everybody does know that we've reached a new low here. ENERGY DRINKS?? oh man. lemme tell ya if you drink a can of rootbeer before any type of athletic activity, you'll be throwing up 20 minutes later. and don't talk aout energy drinks or I'll bust your ass for anabolic steroid use! That's why your posts were always so good...
  18. yeah hotsox, he looks JUST LIKe his daddy, a spitting image, it's amazing, those gotta be good genes. You know what that means, .400 and and a deluxe air conditioning system in the clubhouse, so his daddy can watch him play
  19. Hey! My name's Jim! so I'll answer! I'm not too sure about Jason, but I know he hasn't playede big's since '99 where he has an impressively bad .114 OBP. haha I heard he was south of the border, but that comes from a very unreliable source.
  20. yeah, that'd be sweet yeah Frank lost a lil weight. He looks more like he did in his MVP seasons you got to talk to him at Soxfest? He's probably the nicest athlete I've ever met, and I've met a lot. He's just a genuinely pure, auburn kinda guy.
  21. agreed we'll see this season where they both have no excuses
  22. Jon's got good stuff, but I dunno if he'll be the best pitcher in the league. You can't say that about any pitcher. how bout a link to the article?
  23. wow I love the anti-sox fans that have nothin better to do than join sites of teams they don't even like. I respect your opinion but jeez...
  24. Right now its Frank hands down, nobody was more of a threat through my childhood than Frank... All time? Maybe Luis Aparicio? I dunno I think he was a real complete player. Pretty good lookin too. haha Anyways we've had lotsa good players. I liked Blackjack McDowell a lot, remember him? haha
  25. haha baggio! I think THE MAN is behind this! They must have a bug on the inside! It could be any one of us... well not me of course... but anyone else. haha. I think the Rev Jesse Jackson needs to get in on this hate crime
