LOL WUT?!

Ah, this is awesome. Such good memories of watching him and Hurt back in the day. I just hope the new growing list of former Sox in the organization works out better than the current (Ozzie, Walk, etc.).

Aren't you used to it by now? I'm not saying we shouldn't be holding players accountable, but our manager has no clue, either. Your manager is supposed to put you in the best position to win (fathom has gone back to this point constantly over the years), and Ozzie continuously fails to do that... because he doesn't know how to make the best decision for so many scenarios. Hell, we saw it as early as 06 with leaving Pods in to play LF/CF in the 9th instead of Anderson... and it resulted in losses. Seems like you and others are saying it's fair to blame the players for failing but not the manager for not picking the correct players/situations. That's silly and I see it going on way to much around here. Also, I'd really appreciate a response on the Erstad/Wise/etc. point. Do you have one? If not, you're basically contradicting yourself with the logic you're using. As said again, earlier... it's so easy to say it's the players' fault for screwing up but never the manager's fault when *insert random player here* shoulda never been out there or *insert player's name here* should have never been pitched to or a variety of other common sense scenarios this man has no clue about. I don't get why so many people here give free passes to the coaches for being clueless; if you're gonna blame the players for their f***-ups, blame management for theirs, too. Why do they get so much leeway? Why the f*** does get free passes by so many of you when he makes decisions someone who knows very little about baseball coulda have made better? But nvm, the response will likely be, "Well, name someone better??? Scioscia? LaRussa? Lolzorz!!!"

Wow, coulda sworn some of you guys were talking about proposed plans of Marquez being a long man. Ha. Ha ha. Ha...
-
Yeah, he has so much common sense he doesn't call to walk Miguel Cabrera (or Justin Morneau if we wanna go back far enough) in the 9th inning with the game on the line with 2 outs and 2 bases open. How about that Linebrink clusterf*** against the Cubs a couple of years ago? But nevermind, I could fill an entire book with the idiotic decisions Ozzie makes on a regular basis. Basically, you're crediting Ozzie for standing by a guy simply for "playing hard and giving it his all," which basically means you supported his use of Darrin Erstad, Dewayne Wise and others. As usual you display a lack of rudimentary understanding. If there's one thing Ozzie DOESN'T have, it's common sense. Sorry to contradict you, but... you're wrong. What new.

Okay, this has gone past the point of being "injury prone;" this has just become pure lunacy and bad luck. So now Peavy has had THREE (correct me if my numbers are off) different injuries all unrelated to each other in about a year and a half? I guess we can blame a strained groin on his mechanics, too??? This is just f***ing mindblowing.

1. At face-value I agree with this. All that s***ting on Anderson because despite great defense he couldn't hit... so let's drop him then throw gigantic $$$ at another player who's the same exact thing. Kenny likes getting guys who *used* to be amazing. 2. It's not opinion. Pitching to Miguel Cabrera with the game on the line and 2 bases open is stupid; it's that simple. I'd take my chances on V-Mart over Miggy any day of the week. Hell, walking them both woulda been smarter than simply pitching to Miggy, IMO.
-
You still don't pitch to the guy. It's Miguel Cabrera. He's one of the league's best hitters. Don't see why this is so hard to understand.
-
Disagreeing with facts, no. "Allowed?" Well, sure; you can if you want... you're still wrong.
-
Pitching to Miguel f***ing Cabrera after a leadoff triple with 2 outs and 2 bases free is stupid. Period, Balta. I'm not even arguing this with you. I'm so sick of the copouts with people on this site.
-
THAT is a bulls*** cop-out. Period.
-
That's just inexcusable, though. How f***ing stupid as a manager do you have to be there??? Even I, probably the biggest Ozzie hater on thisboard, cannot believe that. Then again... he never called an intentional walk on Morneau, why call one on Miggy, right? What a worthless idiot.
-
On top of what I said, Ozzie is a f***ing idiot. Why pitch to Miggy there??? You've gotta be f***ing kidding me. Just fire this dumbass already.
-
I'm sitting here with my Cubs fan friend, and I saw the leadoff triple and then 2 outs recorded quickly and he's nodding along and I told him, "I've been watching this team for years. TRUST ME, whoever is up next is hitting a home run; not a single/triple/whatever, a f***ing home run!" And then I said "And I bet it's f***ing Miguel Cabrera coming up, too!" We laugh our asses off as Miggy comes up... then hits a home run. Totally called it, I'm not even mad. There was no doubt that was going to happen... absolutely NONE.

The Edwin Jackson from Edwin Jackson's career says hi back. E-Jax is going back to being E-Jax again. I love this mentality that if someone is getting traded to the Sox we have to start building him up like he's some great player. Or maybe it's just a small amount of success he had last year that tricked people into thinking he's becoming some bona fide star now.
-
It's hard to understand an established mediocre pitcher is being mediocre? How anyone could be "surprised" by this is beyond me.
-
A pitch-out and AJ still can't throw anyone out, lol.
-
I'm not talking about anything related to tonight's game and never said I did so why the assumption? I'm talking about Ozzie's general statement regarding stats because as we all know Ozzie isn't too bright when it comes to statistics/matchups... then again he's not really good at managing in general, LoL.
-
Like how high someone's BA is when stepping up against a Sox pitcher with 2 outs and a base open just for very STARTERS. You ever actually WATCH games, greg?
-
"To me stats are overrated, I don't like stats because I don't want to get a headache, have to look them all up." Not a DIRECT quote, but along the lines of what Ozzie just said. f***ing wow... this f***ing guy...
-
MOREL! TCQ! STEALTH ELF! NUMERO UNO SANTOS! PIERRE!!! Anyone I forgot! Pierre's homer wins the game. WOW, how weird it feels to say that!
-
Just looked up at the screen.Did f***ing Juan Pierre just hit a homer???
