Missed the game, but got home and saw we won 1-0. I joked that I hoped Peavy went the distance rather than came out of the game after 2 innings with an injury. So glad to see he pitched well. If he can come back from that injury and be the Peavy he used to be, that's going to be marvelous.

Man, I've noticed this year even greg is calling for Ozzie to get fired; if that's not indicative of how terrible he's been I don't know what is. If there's anyone left here that still thinks highly of him as a manager, I'm stunned. -

That really HAS seemed to be a constant for this team in recent years. -
:notworthy

Wow, Sam Fuld makes a spectacular catch against us and now he's replacing Chuck Norris in the Chuck Norris jokes on Twitter. Funny...
-
BTW I can't wait to see the replay of that Rant Ozzie went on. And he was correct... even though a lot of the issues are possibly due to his clueless managing.
-
Well... I SAID it from the start, sir... lol. And what I said about you was simply based on what you said. Out of context or not, to say that something would have happened the same way had the procedure been differently is foolish.

I'm speechless. -
And I'm saying it WOULD have because Crain and especially Santos have been solid. It WOULD have mattered. Again if they would have failed, so be it. But logically Ozzie should have gone with one of the two, it's just that simple. You consistently seem to think that when uncertainty is present but one way looks WAY more safer than another... you somehow SHOULDN'T go with it... which is purely and simply illogical.
-
The idea is that you've said over and over that since so-and-so gave up a hit/run at the time they were put in that it "doesn't matter" that they weren't put in sooner because everyone would b****... therefore that means you're assuming the same exact thing would have happened, otherwise you need to start wording your posts better. You can't claim to know how a situation would have turned out had something different be done. I am not ready to believe that you actually think something that ludicrous because your posts so far represent that exact mindset.
-
I believe Santos is the best choice. However, in my view and again according to recent history I would see nothing wrong with TRYING Crain from the get-go of the 9th inning for this game. I'm not gonna second guess the LOGICAL decision because the decision that was actually MADE didn't work out... it defies sensibility.
-
That doesn't negate my argument or support yours. Frankly it's irrelevant. If this is the case how can you not see how it's more logical to TRY Crain (or Santos) who are the ONLY guys who have looked good recently instead of everyone else in the pen who essentially can't pitch at ALL right now? I'm befuddled. Again, "assumption" based on facts is credible. "Assumption" based on absolutely nothing (your position for the most part) is not. Again, this isn't rocket science; it's basic logic.
-
I got nothing to hide. He called ME an idiot and I basically just quoted him.
-
LOGICALLY THEY ARE BETTER CHOICES, therefore they are better options. PERIOD. If that's an assumption, so be it but it's far more logical than yours, which are always BASED on absolutely NOTHING, whereas mine is based on recent statistical history. This shows how you and Ozzie are pretty alike... go entirely with guy and completely ignore facts and statistics. A guy thinking basing an argument on ZIP is as credible as basing one on recent FACTS... utterly HILARIOUS.
-
Ozzie really is a clueless piece of work.
-
Never called you an idiot, FYI. You DID say "f*** you, dickbag," though... which shows your lack of maturity. Again, sorry you think something is an assumption to you because you lack the ability to simply put 2 and 2 together. Crain and Santos are the only ones who have looked good (Santos especially). Logic dictates one of the two is a better choice. It's not rocket science.
-
Thornton has fallen apart mentally. Sale has not looked good. Pena has been terrible. Ohman has been inconsistent. Santos and Crain are the only ones who have looked overall decent or have appeared to have good control/mentality lately. So what can we derive from this as intelligent human beings? One of those 2 is the more logical choice. Doi. At very least it's an "assumption" that has VASTLY more credibility than yours. Don't be mad at me because you lack basic thinking skills... rofl EDIT: LOL at Ozzie saying "s***" uncensored twice during the post game conference.
-
It sure seems like all of YOURS are. "Well, if Ozzie woulda done so-and-so, everybody would have..." GTFO with that nonsense. Clearly you're not reading my posts thoroughly. I didn't assume anything, I said logically starting Crain or Santos that inning would have been more logical. If whichever of those 2 would have come out and failed, I would have said they failed, not that it was Ozzie's fault. Since you're coming out here and shoving words down everyone's throats despite this, it makes you look ignorant because somehow you think you can generalize anything you see fit to say. Stop basing EVERY damn thing you ever say on this board on an assumption, would you?
-
I still don't and never will regret getting rid of Jenks. I'm not gonna second guess it just because Thornton has somehow fallen off the platform. Again, this second-guessing stuff is asinine. As far as J.J. he just decided to take a more hefty sum from a team that could end up finishing in last place this year.
-
Yes, because you know for a fact that had someone else been put in in the first place, things would have happened the same way, right? You go with what is most logical at the TIME, second guessing what would have been the right move at the time is foolish. Your logic is ridiculous. So far EVERY argument I have seen from you on any subject is based entirely on assumption, which makes your opinions inept, quite frankly. In reality YOU are the one making excuses.

You are utterly hilarious. greg doesn't need a replacement on this board, thank you.
