Why does everyone have to be a great guy? Whatever great guy means. I would imagine that half the players in baseball are not great guys, but jerks by most standards. Who gives a s***? AJ was awesome and loved by most sox fans, and now that we get to bean him it's hilarious, like tripping your best friend in front of a girl he likes. I wish more people were like AJ and didn't care about hurting someone's feelings so much. I'm all for being nice, but people are too sensitive these days. If that makes me a "meathead" fan, I'll take that over half the nerds on this site that have never played a game in their life.

1-0 Sox Win. One of the best pitching duels hawk has seen since Johan & Freddy. Both pitchers work the inside of the plate all game and Hawk makes sure everyone knows that the only way to be a good pitcher is to pitch inside. Hawk references "nintendo stuff" with axelrod, and also mentions 2 players who he thought had the most intense nintendo stuff in his career.

I didn't think for one second it was going to be that bad. I felt awkward for the players. No wonder they can't hit.

I have been a sox optimist for a long time thanks to Kenny Williams, but I think you are sucker if you didn't get any odds.

Ozzie. He has a sense of humor and knows equally if not more about baseball. And I feel like Ozzie would be more inclined to engage in outlandish wagers that occur throughout the night. Robin would be more of a golf buddy.

Alex Rios has moved up in my book. I've been golfing for 15 years, and have been a golf course general manager for 3 years. These actually seem like honest scores for his first 60 days of golf. Most adults who play at his level of golf are pathetic and even are able to lie to themselves about their scores. Golf is already a difficult game, but when you actually play by the rules, it is by far the most difficult. That being said, this guy really sucks at baseball, and his stance and swing looks that of a 9 year old girl.

Hawk is apart of the organization. It is not his job to criticize, and I'm sure it's not encouraged. I think he gave the best answer he could without being an asshole that starts a media frenzy, escpecially when he is not a very important part of the team.

I don't see how we lost considering we had 6 Starting pitchers, The worst player ever in Mark Teahen, and an appetite for Relief Pitchers. Trades are not a zero sum game. If the Cardinals Had Adam Dunn, and we had pujols, we would have won 207 regular season games this year.

About 2 years prior to alex rios all star appearance, Hawk had a giant man crush on alex, calling him one of the few five tool players. I agreed with hawk until 2 years ago, especially with his batting stance being so unbelievably terrible looking.

I have no problem with someone disagreeing with ozzie, but it is almost a joke to think your calls would change the fortune of the White Sox. For one, your "should have" never happened, so it's difficult to prove. And two, no one has as much transparency to players' abilities and statistical history as Ozzie. And I'm still giving him the credibility argument on past performance, although I do think time is running out on that. My last point is that people act like idiots quite a bit, and will decide after the fact that they would have done something different (we've all seen it). That being said, most Soxtalk members are very educated about the game.
