QUOTE(FGarcia34 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) I also ordered the Hit & Run plan and I was wondering what other perks we get now that we're season ticket holders? BTW, I bought 3 seats Section 534 Row 7, where is everyone else? 350 row 4

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:00 PM) If I had to bet...absolutely had to...I'd bet on USC. Push come to shove, it's a pretty equal matchup. I'll go out on a limb here and say the team that scores the most points will win. What's interesting about a comment that Vince Young has no experience in big games is that it's untrue...any Michigan fans remember what happened last year? Vince Young, no big game experience? Whoever said that doesnt watch college football. What about this year against OSU? Biggest game of the year, everyone said whoever won that game would be playing in the Rose Bowl, I think thats a big game.

QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) ESPN reported that MGM had the first line on the game with USC -6. Thank you...my guess is Texas will be getting more than that at kickoff.

Texas...I really can not wait to see what the line will be.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 05:33 PM) f*** THIS s***!Didn't Michigan beat Iowa at Iowa! Josh....Big Ten 3 goes to the outback....Michigan is going to the Cap One...whats the problem??

Was there any doubt that the buckeyes wouldnt get a BCS game???

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) Not a chance. You care to make a wager?

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 12:56 PM) Now how would that work in a scenario where the #3 an #4 teams were say, Ohio State and Oregon, but Notre Dame finishes #6? Let's say for example purposes that the #1 and #2 teams are USC and Penn State in this scenario. You can't have three at-large teams! How can the twop 4 be automatic and Notre Dame have their deal? What if Texas were still #2 and Penn St. was #5, but still won the Big Ten over Ohio St (let's say a non-conference loss has them ranked behind Ohio St. or that Penn St. won the Big Ten berth via tiebreaker in a year they did not play OSU). See how "automatic" cold present problems? I don't hate the BCS like so many other people do, but there is no way the BCS can be designed to handle every possible scenario. But you do know the PSU is 3 OSU is 4 and Oregon is 5....maybe I am reading your post wrong. I really dont see how there is any doubt that OSU is going to be playing ND in the Fiesta Bowl.

Buckeyes are going to a BCS bowl. TOP 4 teams automatic bids!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Sorry but the Big 12 Championship is going off on my TV and I am watching the Tulsa-UCF game. Yikes. You have 2 pretty good games IMHO in Florida State and Va Tech. The best game is Georgia vs. LSU. Josh good to see you back!!! GO BUCKS!!! -
QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 07:59 AM) Yep, seems like they'd rather this plan just go away now that they're selling a lot more "real" season ticket plans. "Don't call us, don't come over, our reps are seeing someone new, you're a wonderful person, it just didn't work out, it's not you, it's us...." Thats some funny s***...but seriously they should spend more time worrying about the big ticket packages...thats what brings the big dollars. Has anyone seen an updated count of how many STH there will be for 2006? I know club and scouts are sold out.

QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 06:47 PM) My point was more that a few people are asserting that OSU>PSU. I've seen both of them play a couple of times this year, and I see it as PSU>OSU. In fact, from what I've seen of USC, I think PSU would give them all they could handle. I haven't seen a down of Texas this year, so I can't really comment on them. What games have you seen of OSU and PSU....and yes I know PSU beat OSU, so please spare me that harp. I am just curious what games you are using to make your judgement. -
a sandwich that I used to eat a lot and Im sure still tastes good is peanut butter and bologna....i used to love those, havent had one in a few years....i used to get some weird looks when I told people what was on it

QUOTE(Wedge @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) I agree that the defense is suspect, but it has been effective at times as well. Out of curiousity, did you watch the Navy game or just see that Navy scored 21 points on ND? Maybe kill is too strong a term, but I really think that ND would soundly beat any team it would play in the Cotton Bowl or another non-BCS game. The argument is mostly over whether ND should get a BCS berth or not. Out of a pool of ND, OSU, and Oregon, I think ND definitely deserves the berth. Samardzija...damn I forgot all about him...yes he is a great player. Hopefully he sticks with football. To answer your question about the Navy game, yes I did watch the game. I think I have seen just about every ND game besides the Pitt game this year. As long as it didnt conflict with OSU. If you could pick one why do you think ND should get the nod over OSU? I dont think Oregon deserves to be in a BCS game. OSU vs ND...why ND for the bowl bid? -

QUOTE(Wedge @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 06:09 PM) It's your beliefs and the fact that they are somewhat pervasive throughout the college football fanbase that will make ND's BCS game so intriguing. If they go to a lesser game, like the Cotton Bowl, they'll face a much lesser opponent and probably kill them like they've done to many teams on the schedule. A BCS game for ND is really the only way to satisfy both the "ND isn't back yet" crowd and the 'ND is back" crowd since it's the only way they'll play a high enough quality opponent to answer everybody's questions. What is your definition of "kill them"? I have been out of town and not able to check soxtalk so I quickly skimed over this thread. So forgive me if I mention something that has already been brought up and/or discussed. It seems there is a lot of talk about ND being a great team and individuals having a false sense of what ND is as a team. They simply have a good offense and best an average defense. When you let Navy put up 21 points on you AT HOME that is not impressive. I also saw something about marque players for ND on offense. I will give you Brady Quinn, but who else sticks out at a national level? Also I support ND, I am not "anti-ND". I just dont think they are as good as everyone wants to believe. -
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) I think Brooks knows what he is talking about. Obviously you are missing my point. How easy would it be for someone to come on here and start a post stating the ring ceremony would be the 2nd game? I am not saying he is lying, I am just wondering if anyone else has heard this. Before you criticize me why dont you see if you can find an official statment or someone else that has heard the same thing. To both of you who have said that "you think Brooks knows what he is talking about", I ask this. Has Brooks actually came out and said the ring ceremony would be the 2nd game of the year? Maybe now you will see where I am coming from and why I was asking if other individuals have heard the same thing.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:37 PM) Brooks does work for the Sox, last I checked. I know this...but is it "official"? Has anyone else actually heard this stated anywhere?

Steff can you confirm what is being said in the thread? I really dont want to take two days off of work.
