QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 01:56 PM) Yikes man. Nowhere to go but up. Here's to winning the lottery? He got into a barfight because someone stole his lottery tickets

I remember those Ewok movies on ABC when i was a kid. Saturday Movie of the night or something

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 01:50 PM) I assume among those good things you are considering Rex Grossman. Oh yes, and who can forget that 2-fer of Rex and Haynes

QUOTE (Boogua @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 01:30 PM) Tommie Harris was pretty damn good too, but yeah, I get your point. Two of his better first round picks (Harris and G-Reg) were easy picks because they basically fell into his lap. Tommie was a pretty good pick, that is true. It was a shame that injury happened to him. Olsen would have been a awesome pick if the Bears OCs knew what to do with him. Instead he was Cutlers outlet(ie. his Brandon Marshall) and then shipped out with no foresight. So many large misteps in Angelos reign of terror, it is hard to remember the few good things

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 12:34 PM) I will still say Jerry Angelo was great at drafting until Lovie Smith got his big contract after the Super Bowl and then had a say in personnel decisions. Angelo was very good at drafting players and then all of a sudden he could no longer do it. Angelo was never good at drafting first two rounds. His biggest hit was Hester, everything else was pretty bad. Before the Super Bowl he was pretty good at drafting late in drafts, then he lost his touch and started reaching with everything. His comments are pretty damn ironic considering how many players he drafted merely on athleticism and not on actual football talent, previously mentioned Jarron Gilbert being a big one.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 09:22 AM) The Walking Dead should just be called The Endless Discussion. Christ all they do is talk. 5 minutes of fun action, and then talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk OMG stop talking. That was a pretty terrible way to start the 2nd half of the season IMO. Merle was funny though. And I liked the idea that Daryl left. Should make for some fun interactions between the two brothers. I hated Rick seeing the ghost in front of the whole group though. That's going to make it really difficult to believe that they still trust him to be their leader if he's becoming crazy right in front of there eyes. Also, are Carol and White Prisoner #2 going to get it on? THey might. Hopefully they talk about it for a while

QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 09:31 AM) I feel better than ever about not getting Dwight. I am just not eager to take on a personality like that. At this point, I'm much happier to have Joakim Noah, especially with the price but perhaps regardless. Noahs yearly foot/ankle injuries are getting annoying

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 07:46 AM) Andrea is so annoying in the show. She is. You know, there is something that was bugging me last night. They said the baby was a week old, which means its been what, 2-3 weeks since Herschel lost his leg? I have no problem suspending a tremendous amount of disbelief, but come on now. Stretch out the timeline a little bit here

QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 08:48 AM) I guess this is important, according to all the Catholic folks I know. It certainly is strange that no other pope thought to leave the office as his capacity to perform it well declined. I suppose I'd like to see some more geographic diversity in that post, but I can't say I really care that much. It was cool that Benedict was multilingual, though. Pretty sure that is normal of Popes. Pope John Paul II spoke 8 languages fluently

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 08:14 AM) I would pass it to Dwight Howard, but that is because I am terrible at basketball. Thats because you are Wite
-
Howard has done nothing this season to deserve the attention you are saying he does. The Lakers cant afford to let Dwight get time to get past his little childish hissy fit that has been going on for the last two seasons. I wouldnt pass it to him either, he has been brutal this season.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 06:42 AM) About time they did something with that kid. He has just been there the entire series, it seems. My favorite line of the show was when Jimmy and his dad are walking and they stop at the Gallagher house, and Jimmys dad says "Are you stopping for some crack?"

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 06:36 AM) Yuuup. I assume she's a boy that was being raised as a girl, or is "girl penis" a real condition. And I knew when the cute red headed counselar showed up, we'd see her boobs at some point. Carl was the man in this episode
-
QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 08:49 PM) So, Shameless sure likes to keep going "there". And I can't stop watching. By "there" i believe you mean "girl penis". Yup. It was one of the funnier episodes in a long time. Frank calling Jody the grand poobah of depravity was hilarious

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 12:32 AM) I'm pretty sure someone else was responsible for all the later round picks that became impact players for the bears but can't recall his name. I think it was Greg Gabriel

Last one to resign was in 1415. That is insane

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 09:23 AM) I think she's probably trying to clear his name one final time, but I think you're right...just dredging this back up makes it worse...I think people will ultimately just think of JoePa as a bit naive and detached from this, but they won't really lay too much blame on his shoulders. It certainly destroys the rainbows and unicorns associated with him though, and I don't think there's anyway of getting around that. There is a vocal group that will not stop until the wins are given back, the statues put back in their places and the murals repainted. Unfortunately (for them) none of that is likely to happen

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 08:16 AM) One of the things I hate about working in customer service is that a member can write an email complaining about you, totally fabricate the facts and make stuff up, and to have a supervisor take it as fact without hearing your side. I took some responsibility for the event that occured but it pisses me off that people just make stuff up and I have to take all the heat. Yep. The fraud dept at chase is similar, even when you are right you are wrong.

@CSNCoop: Classic ESPN journalism- three guests ripping Freeh report, defending Paterno. No one giving the other view.
-
Unsurprisingly, The Paterno family investigation has concluded that the Freeh report was uniformly biased against JoePa and is pretty much all wrong in every fact pointing towards the blame going to JoePa. http://m.espn.go.com/wireless/story?storyId=8930657

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Feb 9, 2013 -> 01:50 PM) Anyone else think this means the Bears are asking him to move outside to DE? No, its him saying "I will play on any team and I will fit in just fine"

QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 8, 2013 -> 04:28 PM) FWIW, PFF had Urlacher as among the worst defensive players in the NFL last year, especially at his position. That said, he was near the top the year before. It isn't unreasonable to think that he could get healthy and be great again, though I'm not sure how much money I'd spend on that bet. pretty sure Ptatc said that knee will never be the same

QUOTE (Cali @ Feb 8, 2013 -> 02:02 PM) I would trade the Cell as is right now for 23 of the 29 currents ballparks in baseball. They really just bungled the whole thing. Got rid of the old park as decaying as it was, before Fenway/Wrigley became these altar worshiped Mecca's to baseball just because they were old. And being old was suddenly a selling point instead of a demolition point. Build the last ballpark before the Retro takeover happened. Start renovation before the park was even a teenager, basically admitting they f***ed up. The renovations are nice, i'll admit, but it's plastic surgery on an Ugly ballpark that we're stuck with for the foreseeable future, while everyone else has these beautiful Modern Parks. It's a shame. It was past the point of no return. Renovation would have been pretty intense
