  1. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 03:05 AM) Humber had a hell of a year last year and you don't just luck into a perfect game in the MLB, dude can pitch. The pen may wind up being good for him in a long relief role. Humber had a hell of a first half http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/...;t=p#half_extra Since then, he has been pretty mediocre to bad
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 09:51 PM) It seems consistent, in an overall sense, but the reality is quite different. Take away our current run at home (what is it now, 12-2?) and things are looking quite different. We were one of the best 2-3 road teams in baseball for the first three months of the season until we went to BOS and DET. Who really knows what we are, but winning more consistently at home (especially when there are big crowds and more of an advantage than earlier in the year) is obviously going to be critical. It's kind of like when every analyst speaks for 10-15 minutes before a big NFL or college match-up and then throws out the, "well, it always comes down to special teams." Win your home games, win your games against divisional opponents, things will take care of themselves. So wait, according to you the home record doesnt matter because of their recent good run skewing their previous bad record, but their road record doesnt matter because of a 7 game bad run overshadows a previous 3 month good stretch? WTF?
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 09:21 PM) If the Sox somehow made the WS, everything would indeed change. The Sox would be a legitimate baseball power, making it twice since 2005. It would give the Sox a chance to reinvent itself again, to stave off that dumb rebuilding notion for a long time. Cmon Sox, keep it rolling. As long as KW is in charge, there will be no rebuilding. Only retooling on the fly.
  4. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 09:19 PM) What happened to Dylan Axelrod? He wasn't THAT bad... Would you DFA Humber in order to let him pitch? Axelrod had a nice few starts, and a few meh starts, but I really dont think the guy has what it takes to be a part of this rotation. He is a nibbler, works a lot with smoke and mirrors, those guys tend to get flushed out once the scouting report catches up to the league. I am done with Humber and I hope that i dont have to see him start anytime soon(which means Floyd needs to get his head out of his ass), but if my choice is between Humber and Axelrod, I am choosing Humber every day and twice on Sunday.
  5. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) The only comparison I made in that comment was about Peja and Marion was like what the Bulls did with Rip. I didnt say anything about them getting a player as good as him because we have Noah and dont need him. You read it wrong sir. Marion had a perfectly normal season. Maybe Peja you could compare to Rip, but not Marion
  6. Vikings rookie reciever Greg Childs tears patella tendon in both knees http://espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp12/stor...s-tendons-knees y'ooooooooouch
  7. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:42 PM) Yeah its called looking at a player and recognizing what his skillset is. Beverly is a ball handling/penetrating point guard. He can run the floor, because he's quick. He can put pressure on defenses, because he can handle the ball and drive the lane. Not saying he's going to be anywhere near as good as Derrick Rose. Just pointing out what his skillset consists of, for people who don't know anything about him. Jesus Kyle, you really have a hard on for me. Almost as big as yours for Garpax
  8. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:36 PM) The difference though with Cuban you know you have the owner whose going to go all out and do everything possible to put together a team that will compete for the championship. The Bulls are just a mess and too cautious to make any risky moves. +1
  9. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:24 PM) And it's ridiculous to act like I think Patrick Beverely is some superstar waiting to happen. All I did was report in this thread that the Bulls were interested in signing him, then I posted a youtube video of his highlights here. Pardon me for thinking Bulls fans would want to be kept up to date on the moves the Bulls make. You take that as me being so thrilled about Patrick Beverely, ok, whatever... You're acting ridiculous Kyle. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 02:06 PM) We're going into the season with 1 proven PG on the roster. PG depth is something we do need. And this guy is never going to play on the court at the same time as Derrick Rose. But if he does, at least he's another guy that can play off him, can run the floor with him and can put pressure on defenses like him. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 02:12 PM) Just look of his highlights on youtube. Obviously he feels comfortable driving and either drawing contact or finishing. Worst case scenario on offense: PG version of Jimmy Butler. Your own assessment of Beverley. Someone who can run the floor and put pressure on defenses LIKE DERRICK ROSE.
  10. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:34 PM) ^ exactly, lol. He'd bash every one of those signings, because none of them are Dwight, Lebron or Kobe. The 2011 Mavs team is exactly the type of team he DOESN'T want us to have. Right, because in every one of my posts, thats what I said, I want one of those three and thats all. Please, tell me more about the D League.
  11. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:30 PM) The same Tyson Chandler you've already taken a dump on, past their prime players like Peja and Marion who are similar to what the Bulls tried to do with Rip, Corey Brewer who scored a grand total of 5 points per game for them, and a washed up J Kidd who yes can still pass the ball....All sound like players you'd poo on if the Bulls got them before you even saw them play here. When did I take a dump on Tyson Chandler? You are assuming a lot in this, but thats fine. Malcolm Thomas y'all
  12. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:17 PM) I've never seen you give any great insight to the game, all I've seen you do is whine and poo poo every move the Bulls have made. Again, don't tell me what you were like 2 or 3 offseasons ago. I'm talking about what I'm seeing from you now. And all i see you do is praise it all and throw up youtube videos. And get punked by zoom on the definition of usage and how it applies
  13. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:16 PM) You're right, they stayed garbage and got Westbrook and Harden in the draft...what else have they done? Same sort of thing the Bulls we're doing with Curry and Chandler, just didn't work out that way. What has Mark Cuban done? Yes he won a championship but he didn't make any huge moves to do so...like the Bulls have done. Bulls had the same plan as Miami did, it just didn't happen, cant blame the FO for that. Jalen Rose was coming off 3 straight 18+ ppg seasons and proceeded to put up career highs with the Bulls. (23 ppg his first 30 games, then 22 the following full season) O RLY? Within the 2009-2010 season and through the 2010 free agency they added Tyson Chandler, Jason Kidd, Corey Brewer, Peja Stojakovic and brought in Shawn Marion.
  14. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:14 PM) I know what I see and I see that neither one of you has said anything positive about the Bulls in my short tenure here. It's all negativity. If that's the case then it's fair to question your Bulls fandom. I'm sorry if it offends you. Sure, only if I can question your knowledge of the game and the players within it No offense, of course
  15. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:10 PM) Well when you hate everything about the Bulls, it's a fair question to ask. Again, you know not of what you talk about
  16. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:09 PM) He claimed I wasn't a true Bulls fan. 'Nuff said. He claims everybody is who doesnt see the true value in the Euroleague Supahstah
  17. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 12:09 PM) I disagree that its worse or less athletic Hey bro, I know you think Pax and Gar are infallible, but they arent. And there has been not one iota of improvement on the bench, as much as you love telling us there is. Sunshine And Rainbowzzzzza
  18. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 11:59 AM) These are vague statements, you're disappointed, we get that. We're all disappointed. There's no need to sulk about it. What would you have done differently? Based on your high expectations, what would you have the FO do? Listen, I can sulk all i want. You dont like it, put me on ignore. You dont seem to be disappointed, you seem to be reveling in the bulls*** paraded in front of you. Enjoy it. Please, espouse on Malcolm Thomas and Patrick Beverley some more OMGZ THEY ARE THE PERFECT COMPLIMENTARY PLAYERS TO DERRICK ROSE Y'ALL THEY CAN HANDLE THE BALL AND GET TO THE RACK! IN THE EUROLEAGUE! my high expectations are for a championship worthy franchise to act like it. Not like some second class organization waiting for perfection to land in their laps.
  19. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 10:52 AM) Because we didnt get OJ Mayo? Or because the washed up PG we got isn't a future HoFer? There wasn't much else out there. It is disappointing that you have such low expectations
  20. I actually wasnt going with the "Lisa Dergan strained groin" joke, it was actually just pointing out that the guy yet again hurt his groin and that is something I really dont want any part of
  21. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 08:53 AM) Here comes the other homer to stir the pot further...I'm lost at what you guys wanted the Bulls to do this offseason. What past getting Mayo could they have done to excite you? Mayo doesn't seem like he'd fit the system, the guy got benched for missing to many practices. That doesn't seem like the type of guy Thibs would want on this team. Who else was there you guys wanted?? Courtney Lee and his 3% better shooting than Bellinelli? Their stats past that are about as close to exactly the same as you can get. Bell played .4 less mpg and scored .4 more ppg, .1 less rpg, and exactly the same amount of assists. But because he shot .417 compared to .433 and .377 to .401 from 3 Bellinelli is grade F horses***??? Did you want them to break apart the core?? Unless they got a superstar back I dont see the point in doing that this offseason with such a weak FA class. I'd rather they wait till next year when there should be some stud SGs out there on the market. Im not arguing, this offseason was crap and you know it. "Wait til next year" is something we use to tease another organization for
  22. Bones and Evans also said they would never fight because they were bros. Dana made it happen. Just sayin
  23. Oops, Looks like there was a fight Ball was involved in http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/...ht-prior-attack
  24. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 4, 2012 -> 04:32 PM) There was 1 superstar on the market this year and the Bulls went hard for him. They went hard after Lebron/Wade/Bosh the year before that too. Sometimes you have good plans, but they don't come to fruition. It sucks but that's life. I don't think the Bulls FO is incompetent or deserving of losing their jobs just yet, because they've attempted to make these big FA splash type moves that you want them to make, they just haven't been successful at it for various reasons (many of which are external reasons, not of their own doing) All you have is excuses for them. Its ok, one day you will finally hit your breaking point when they disappoint you yet again.
