QUOTE (The Gooch @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) Tim Tebow has shown that he can manage a game this year. Don't turn the ball over and score enough points to win. Last week he proved he can be clutch and make big plays when they need them. It doesn't matter how many yards he threw for, or how many touchdowns he threw for. He is winning games. -

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 11:33 AM) 98% of people on this forum gave the 49ers NO chance of beating the Saints , so you have two 49ers fans talking about how we will beat them. If that what makes you hate the 49ers thats your choice. I am pretty damn sure if the Bears were playing the Saints this past weekend, most people in this forum, would give there reasons why they think the Bears will win. It started way before this week -
QUOTE (The Critic @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 10:54 AM) STAMFORD, Conn., January 17, 2012 – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE (NYSE:WWE) has suspended Matthew Korklan (Evan Bourne®) for 60 days effective Tuesday, January 17 for his second violation of the company’s policy. As DJ would say, "....UH OHHHHH". Evan Bourne is about to be banished to Paul London-ville. That is 2 violations in 6 months. Way to screw up your push

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 17, 2012 -> 11:20 AM) The story floating around the internets about how the Chief's front office has changed in the last few years is must read material. Caulfield posted it, he just didnt really make it obvious about what it entailed(go figure ) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=84273 -
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 16, 2012 -> 09:55 PM) Yes it would.....................on another note the Jericho walking out on the match and the return s*** is growing old quick! Lol, that is exactly the reaction he wants you to have. I think it is brilliant. I also think that he is going to continue doing it until the crowd turns on him, and then he might do it a little bit more. At this rate it could be a while though, the crowd is still marking out for him.

Someone inform Lucas that he is 5 foot nothing and he needs to pass over the memphis players.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 09:56 AM) Soxtalk was wrong about Adrian Gonzalez and got slapped down for it by Cowley. So what? The grudge that is being held for it on here is really entertaining to watch, but doesn't reflect well on those involved. why do you insist on repeating "It is as if Cowley dissed Soxtalk" when you know full well that he has done so, and has done so repeatedly? It really doesnt reflect well on you. Oh wait, you dont care. Neither do we. Go figure Cowley is a 2 bit hack, and a b****. And he pretty much admitted that he couldnt take the heat when thrown back at him when he talked to Speigel last week.

QUOTE (MAX @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 11:50 AM) I once said what I wanted about doug collins about three years ago and I was banned from here. What I spoke about doesn't seem quite as far fetched in light of what happened at Penn state and Syracuse now. What? Are you serious? There has to be more to it than saying what you wanted about Doug Collins. GMAB, The Mod and Admin team goes through a lot of deliberation for the most part when it comes to someone getting banned. You have to earn it unless you are an obvious spammer, obvious troll, or if you are Brando

@JeffGurt Bulls are the first team to hold opponents under 70 points in three straight home games since the invention of the shot clock.

I'm not going to discount the Giants at all. If their front four get to Rodgers it could be a very interesting game. And their front four is a +1, they have Pierre Paul, Kiwanuka, Tuck, Umenyiora, and Canty, and Linval has been coming on too. It is the playoffs, you never know. Congrats to SOXOBAMA and Hegone33, you guys called your shot and were right. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 04:17 PM) Perhaps the way you carried yourself or the attire you were wearing led to some drunken discussions? You never know. When I'm down there, I tend to rock the Cardinals jersey shirt and the White Sox cap, and I'm always well-received. And yes, the Landing is awesome and the new casino they opened (Lumiere Place) are quite awesome. And of course, the tour. I've been on it twice... and ending with fresh, free Bud products is worth the 40 minutes or so. LOL are you insinuating I am a rowdy drunk? No, it was a lot of just living with and around St Louis area students living in Carbondale. There is a little bit of an inferiority complex with some of them -
QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 08:59 PM) I heard Rose ran into Noah and they called a foul on Rondo. That sounds hilarious to me. Yep. And rose was blocked out of bounds, the ball hit off two celtics and they gave it to the celtics There is just no consistency and it doesn't make sense

I just do not think nba officiating has any actual guidelines or rules. Just by your whim

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 06:35 PM) The DirecTV thing is interesting. You guys just got this update today? My update seemed to occur like a month ago? They probably stagger the upload

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 09:36 AM) anyone check out the new Cheadle/Showtime show House of Lies? I'd give it a B-. It's basically if Entourage and Made in America had a television baby. Not really sure where they can take it since the whole pitch-meeting thing would get old pretty quick. I think they are going to focus on his competition with his uber-hot yet extremely insane wife if I were to guess. I thought the beginning was pretty funny when she was so drugged up she wouldnt even open her eyes

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 02:53 PM) My Dad is a big fan of everything St. Louis, so I've been there a thousand times. Residents don't care about Chicago and don't compare St. Louis to anything. They know what they are and they love it. We go down there every 4th of July for a game, to gamble, and to have a good time... and St. Louis can definitely be a good time. That being said, I've also seen a Bears/Rams game in St. Louis, and it's the most bored I've ever been... and the Bears dominated 27-3. It felt like watching a football game in someone's basement. That dome is horrendous, and the area of the city it's in is even worse. In fact, someone was murdered at the Holiday Inn we stayed at for that game just last year. Great baseball city (and stadium), ok hockey city, bad football city. However, good for the Rams. The old man is stoked as he's a big Fischer fan. Hopefully they figure something out as things continue to get worse year in and year out... I lived in Carbondale for 8 years, and I have been to St Louis countless times as well, I respectfully disagree The Landing is badass. It sucks that Mississippi Nights closed -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 01:32 PM) Other than having to live in St. Louis, it seemed like a pretty easy choice. St Louis can be a fun town, it isnt as bad as people make it out to be. The problem is the residents think it is as good as if not better than Chicago, which is wrong
