QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 08:05 AM) Do you really think the only difference between Himes and KW is draft position? If those 4 had come through a KW regime, there's a decent chance they would have been peddled for mediocre veterans before reaching the show. I totally disagree with this. KW doesnt have a long track record of giving up stellar talent. He usually peddles away mediocre talent, but a lot of it. Gio is an exception, but that guy was traded 4 times before he ever hit the bigs, and for some pretty good players.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 06:57 PM) Anyone that averaged 7 ppg in a career is pretty far from great. This is one time where i will say his ppg does not show what kind of a player he was. He was pretty key for multiple championship teams

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 11:32 PM) Still, it was a way for the Cubs to get the last word in. They took 2 of 3 and plunked DeAza. Cubs win; Cubs win.

Standing O, Gavin.

Hawk said Beckham became too "thought-minded". I hate when that happens.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 07:08 PM) No to Headley way to streaky. Ah, so you prefer sucky instead

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) You know I've always hated giving up the first out to get the runner into 2nd base when you're still going to need a hit to score the runner. Come on fathom, let's be real here. You question every play.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 08:00 PM) Really dumb idea to be bunting here, especially with the hole between 1st and 2nd. I could only imagine how a game would be played if you were manager. Of course, no play could ever be questioned and they would all be perfectly executed and timed.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 06:25 PM) It's not like Horry was a great player, plus he was a rookie in 94. Horry was as close to great as you could get. He was Pippen-lite

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 05:48 PM) The Padres literally gave up on Simon Castro last year and the Sox are trying to rebuild him. It would make very little sense for them to want him back. i think that post was in the same vein as my post

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 05:14 PM) It would be nice. However, I do not think we have the bullets. If you were Josh Byrnes, what would you want in return? Brent Lillibridge, Wil Ohman, and Zach Stewart. Next question

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:14 PM) We can talk about attendance instead... same thing

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:09 PM) Have to disagree. I think he is still pretty darn good considering other lefties we have in the bullpen you must not have watched much of this season.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 04:03 PM) Would you rather see Will Ohman or Hector Santiago in those situations? is death an option?

QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) Oney is now your source as well? #leechoftheyear

the defense rests, Sandusky does not take the stand

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 11:36 AM) #dominoplayeroftheyear fixed

what I noticed is they immediately started rubbing an ice bag on his thighs when he got to the bench. and I dont remember that being a treatment for cramping up

am I the only one that thinks it didnt look like Lebron cramped up last night? The way they were treating him and the way he was acting looked like a thigh bruise or strain or something.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 09:32 AM) Aramis Ramirez? Would the Brewers be looking to trade? Would they trade him? Is he any good anymore? 3 Years 36 million? really?

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 08:59 AM) It would be awesome if Gavin Floyd didn't give up 5 or more runs tonight. ....in the first 3 innings

QUOTE (oldsox @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 08:11 AM) Geez, Mark Teahan would have been an upgrade over Hudson. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jun 20, 2012 -> 08:22 AM) Plus, Josh Fields is hitting .330 or so at Albuquerque. So quickly we forget how awful these two players were. I am not ready to replace pretty bad with merely bad. If there is an upgrade out there, please make it, but these are lateral moves

This week has been a kick in the nuts, sports-wise. Hey Gavin, how about you forget your current little "streak" and go out and do something awesome? thx bye

http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=320619120 Joel Peralta tossed for having a significant amount of pine tar on his glove, and Maddon calls it bush league that he was called out. I havent liked Maddon too much this season.

Wood looks like a young, mullet-ed Will Ohman
