No, Brock/Mir II wasnt close at all. Mir's face looked like hamburger after the fight, he was resembling the elephant man with how lopsided his face was when he started swelling
-
Mir has been talking a lot of s*** about Brock. Last time he beat Mir, it was to "get the horseshoe out of his ass", this time I think it will be much more personal and Brock is going to try and hurt him.

Impact was all over the place. Hall was hilarious when he called Xpac cheech, lol Did I miss something when Hogan said that Nash needed to let them(the band) know that they needed to be better, then he transitioned to throwing them out on the next segment? Was there something in between that angered Hogan that I missed while channel surfing or did Hogan just go to the ring and kick them out of the Impact zone?

having a coach named chud would be cool

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 21, 2010 -> 01:36 PM) This might have been in the thread already, but do you guys know if Monte Kiffin followed his son to USC? I wouldnt think it would be in the best interests of his health to stay

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 21, 2010 -> 12:28 PM) Hogan sticking up for his friends.. WCW 2.0 ... sighhhh We tried to tell you! lol I dont compare this really to WCW though. I compare this to the truly awful things Hogan said about the braindead friend of Nick Hogan. Hogan has no concept of the real world

So Hogan goes from Face to Douche in one fell swoop:

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 21, 2010 -> 08:22 AM) Stale is the number one word to describe WWE IMO. They have all these flashy pyro, super company, celebrities, but the product always ends up stale. NEW TALENT IS NEEDED! Once HHH, HBK, Undertaker retire among others - it should get more fresh. HHH is going to be around for quite a while. Taker will be gone soon, HBK might be around Flair-style on and off for a while too.
-
QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 21, 2010 -> 12:25 AM) Haha yeah man, like it was literally exactly what you said the only difference was taker wasn't champ.. that right there proves how stale WWE has been in the past 3 years for me. I watch it, but I retain nothing.
-
QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 09:12 PM) Yeah. After he lost to Taker, he was gone til HHH needed help vs. Legacy in Sept or so. damn. I didnt even notice. Well good news is that Edge is close to returning, they were shooting for Mania so we will see what happens. Maybe he will be contestant #30 in the rumble

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 09:16 PM) I texted Justin after the game that it is inexcusable that we didn't give the ball to the post once in the last two minutes and both our last shots were for 3's when we needed a 2 to tie at home. Where the hell was Teague all game? He better of been hurt, because if he was sat for some other reason then Lowery needs to pack his s*** tomorrow. edit: Lowery sat him. Reasons to be specified later. Way to go Lowery, sit the MVC freshman player of the week -

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 09:13 PM) We need a new coach. Agreed. The team is running around like chickens with their heads cut off, he doesnt have a ready made tournament team anymore and he doesnt know what to do. -
QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 08:52 PM) So basically the exact same thing that happened last year.. Did HBK ever leave? I cant remember if he did, seems like he is always there
-
Now that I think about it, I can see HBK facing Undertaker. HBK has been talking about taking a long time off to let his body heal, and losing to Undertaker would let Taker keep his title and go out/retire with his streak intact, and Michaels can quietly go away until September or whenever he feels like making his return. It wasnt said before, but i am glad that it looks like DX is done for a long while after HHH threw HBK out of the ring monday

Hmm, I guess my concept of moving back the clock differs.....

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 04:05 PM) I'm going to miss the pre-game ritual where Jenks had to eat the 6 month old hot dogs from the 7-11 hot dog rotisserie machine. you wont miss it as much as bobby QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 04:15 PM) I don't think they used to be 7:10. The article says "moving start times back four minutes." They were saying back when the original change happened, the times were moved back 4 minutes. Although I dont remember 7:15 gametime starts

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 11:56 AM) Of course Coop is gonna say Rios is going to do well next year. What else is he gonna say? "Yea, we're spending millions on him over the next few years and we fully expect him to suck to high heaven," Coop can fix him?
-
QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 09:25 AM) I was hinting at that being the outcome . Doubtful. If Orton takes the title, Sheamus is going to get his rematch
-
QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 09:01 AM) Alot of people are saying Kofi Kingston... Maybe a Kofi vs. Randy world title WM match? Randy has to take it from Sheamus before he can defend it from Kofi

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 20, 2010 -> 08:17 AM) Wow awesome! Good luck with that. Ditto, and double ditto on the stable. That'd be sick. Anyone know where they are going with Undertaker / HBK ? . Any picks for winner of the rumble? I think it might be someone we really will not expect. I also think HBK and HHH might be fighting in mania based on how they ended RAW

That is all NSFW

QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Jan 19, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) Read any opinion article in the Toronto or LA papers from the past few years -- to summarize from a Blue Jays fan post announcement of our acquisition of Rios: "Good luck with Rios Chicago, he will frustrate the hell out of you, all the tools, but no toolbox. Hopefully Ozzie can get through to him. He plays without emotion and makes countless mental errors on the basepaths, the field, and at the plate." Harold Reynolds, who's opinion I respect greatly, was openly negative at the time and again pointed to Rios's lack of discipline and mental focus as his biggest detractors. Juan Pierre, ask a Cubs fan Talk to me in October ask a cubs fan? I am far from a Juan Pierre apologist but a mental midget? The guy has had 4 seasons with over 200 hits! And 3 other seasons with 170+ hits! have you looked at his playoff averages? he has hit .304 with a .375 OBP, and with the Cubs he had 15 total bases in 7 games. Im not going to argue with you about Rios because he has to prove himself to the White Sox, but everything in his entire career has pointed that last season was the abberation, not the rule, and a blue jays fan post isnt going to rock my world and make me think he sucks. I really think you should re-examine your definition of mental midget. Mental midgets shrink from pressure situations, and Juan Pierre has risen to the occasion when presented with pressure situations, and considering Rios was a blue jay his entire career save 2 months, he never really has been in a pressure situation
-
QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Jan 19, 2010 -> 06:37 PM) Alex Rios and Juan Pierre are known as two of the biggest mental midgets in MLB. An OF strategy relying on the 'outperformance' of at least two of the trio of Andrew, Juan, and Alex is in-trouble. Carlos, no recovery lock either... They need another player like a Damon, who is consistent and performs year after year. Too many wild cards here... LOL what? Since when?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 19, 2010 -> 05:34 PM) Were either Al Davis's shenanigoats or the LA Rams a team that you could get excited about? Really, it's simple numbers. If Angelinos are 50% as likely to be NFL fans as people in Houston, Philly, or Dallas, then LA will still sell more tickets than any of those cities. The LA Basin is 12 million+ people. Even the other big ones, outside of Chicago and NY, are 5-6 million. And a lot of them can afford luxury boxes. They simply dont care. LA fans have always carried that label, whether it be the Angels, Dodgers, Lakers or whatever football team they have there. If they really wanted a team, one would of stayed, or one would have replaced the two departed teams. Dont give me this "what did the Rams or Raiders give them to be excited about?" bull, if they get another team it isnt as if its going to immediately be competitive. Its going to go through the same growing pains teams like the Jaguars and Panthers and Ravens went through, and it will make the fans less interested. Im not saying it wont happen, but its going to be the same crap that happened twice before. http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/The_Trenc...erve_a_nfl_team
