I think the not caring about “which side of the ball the next coach comes from” is to address candidates like Vrabel and Rivera, who are both defensive head coaches, however the both of them presumably would know how to handle setting up the offensive side for success due to their history. To me, Brown will have to look extra special to get this job. The final run of this season would have to be undeniably special and he would need to be the reason for it. There will be many good candidates available soon, staying in house for some stupid continuity s%*# is exactly how we got here.

It’s hard for me to understand why he continued to double down on the errors as if the thought process was always correct it was just the performance that messed it up. He would kind of waffle and say “well I’m the head coach so it’s on me” but it was like a last second mea culpa every time he would say it, and it never meant anything because we never actually saw accountability.

I don’t believe much will work out in the Sox favor here. Robert’s injury history depresses his value whether we recognize his immense talent or not. I truly hope Getz can fleece someone I just don’t trust it.

I’m not denying if he puts up mvp numbers he is worth more, just saying that this is the White Sox and as such you should expect the constantly injured player to remain constantly injured, and hoping to thread the needle in this sort of a situation rarely works out in our favor

It’s just Russian roulette hanging on to him though, if he gets injured yet again in the early season and misses a large chunk of the season yet again, the return for him will be next to nothing.
