    I would love to make that bet. McNabb is out of football in 3 years? Why don't we exchange email addresses and make a bet. PM me. That is an easy win for me. Out of the league in 3 years? Kordell Stewart is still in the league and has been for 11 years. Tony Banks is still in the league and has been for 10 years. McNabb is going to be out of the league in his 10th year at 33 or 34 years old?

    McNabb has had nothing at WR except for 1 full year of TO. He has averaged 3080 passing yards, 21 passing TDs, 10 INTs, 3.5 rushing TDs, and 367 rushing yards, and he has a 59% completion percentage in the 6 seasons that he was the starting QB at the beginning of the year. He has a record of 65-31 in those 6 seasons.  That is counting 13 missed games. That is almost another whole season right there. He has made it to the NFC Championship game 4 out of 6 seasons. He has been to the Super Bowl once. He has been to the playoffs in every season except last season. In the post season he has 12 games played, 2630 yards passing, 18 passing TDs, 12 INTs, 3 Rushing TDs, 362 Rushing Yards, and a 59% completion percentage. His interceptions are a little high, but other than that it looks pretty damn good. His leading receivers have been Chad Lewis, James Thrash, Todd Pinkston, and Terrell Owens. Isn't that a great group of WRs?

    So now how is he overrated and who is rating him if he is overrated? What else do you want from him? He is without a doubt a top 5 QB in the NFL.

    What the hell is wrong with you?

    I went to '92 and '93, some of the best shows ever.

    I went to 97. It was ok. Tool was friggin amazing as was Snoop, but Korn was a no-show because Munky came down with Menengitis. Tricky was pretty cool to see on stage, because his music is so...out there. But I really enjoyed his show. I didnt enjoy the bass headache that I recieved afterwards though.

    I remember somewhere around 94 or 95 Metallica was part of it.

    The festival was in Pecatonica (small town near Rockford) and the lines were backed up so badly that some people didn't make it in until the show was already half over.

    Metallica wasnt until 1996, and by then Ferrell started backing off.

    This was the 1991 original lineup

    The Rollins Band

    Violent Femmes

    Siouxsie and the Banshees

    Janes Addiction

    Butthole Surfers

    Fishbone

    Living Colour

    Nine Inch Nails

    Ice-T

    All of the Lollapalooza lineups

    Cotts isnt even close to 6'2".  Have you ever met the guy?  He is no taller than me and I am 6'

    Ill bet you 1000 dollarsyou never met the guy. Just looking at his player card online. Never met the guy.

    And if you think that Cotts is 6'0", then Rowand may be shorter than his listed 6'0" as well.

  5. QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 11:47 AM)
    I'm still mad about that game in Vegas back in 2001. SIU had the Illini down 5 with 2 minutes left and we blew it. I was getting phone numbers ready to call to talk trash.

    That year was great. Its a damn shame that the Salukis only had Rolen Roberts for one year of eligibility. He was a beast in 01. He was eating up Emeka Okafor alive in that sweet 16 game(too bad Kent Williams forgot his shot at home throughout the tournament:( )

  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 11:39 AM)
    "snipped".  ;)

    See, when you say fixed, snipped, cut, manhood taken away, vasectomy, and I just get this "my balls are about to be kicked" feeling. Not good. They need to rename it. Something along the lines of "massage with a feather". You know, so that when I go in, i wont have any idea of how bad it will be. And when I wake up(because there is no f***ing way in hell I would do that procedure while awake) I will think that I have been massaged with a feather. Its all about the psychology of the patient. Dont make him feel like he is getting his balls removed, and maybe he wont feel like his balls are being removed.

    Excuse me, I have to go walk around and appreciate myself.

  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 11:34 AM)
    I personally agree 100%, but not everyone thinks like that unfortunately.  I know we are having the talk about getting one of us fixed right now.

    Someday, they will come up with a way to say that and not make me feel ill. I dont have any problems with it, relatives have had the procedure, but just the thought of it makes me uneasy.

    there just isnt an easy or nice way to say "vasectomy"

  8. QUOTE(Steff @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 11:23 AM)
    Is a second baby shower tacky?

    Jim's sisters daughter is having another baby (3rd - a girl - she has 2 boys under 6) and they are throwing her a shower. The reason (they said this) is because she doesn't have any girl stuff...??  :huh

    Am I crazy or is that just plain stupid logic?

    I think the etiquette surrounding this situation changes with the families. Some people think they need a baby shower every time they have a kid, some people think just one time. Others have baby showers everytime, but dont ask for gifts after the first baby, they just want everyone to get together to celebrate.

    I dont think it is really tacky, but thats just me.

  9. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:37 AM)
    you obviously didnt sense his sarcasm.

    i would hope that in an argument like that, Qwerty would put that in green. I hope that is sarcasm, anyone that thinks that Pargo is better than Deng is the one who got dropped on his head when he was young.

  10. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:38 AM)
    Ok, but I will counter that with Cotts in the back row.  He is about the same height as a-row.  I just think its weird that Neal, AJ, Crede are all standing together in the back row, while their good friend Aaron is far away from them.

    Arow is 6 feet, Neal Cotts is 6'2"-6'3" depending on where you look. Either way, Arow is a short dude and needs to be in the front row. AJ, Crede, Blum, Contreras, they are all around 6'4"-6'5", they definitely need to be in the back.

  11. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:17 AM)
    Yeah, but last year was pretty big and there wasn't an act that was a real huge draw.    It felt like things were going back to how they should be, guess that didn't last long.

    No way, not when there is money to be made. I think Perry Ferrell also participated in the re-birth of Lollapalooza and then once again backed out when s*** wasnt going the way he wanted it to.

  12. Did anyone hear ESPN1000 this morning when they played the clip of George Bush mentioning Ed Farmer, it was great:

    President Bush(addressing the media) "Hey, there is Ed Farmer.." (slight pause, one person claps)

    President Bush "Well there is one person in here that knows Ed Farmer."

    Sometimes President Bush can actually slip in some really funny and NOT dumb quotes, and this was definitely one of them. the whole room was laughing.

  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:19 AM)
    wow, your sig pic presents some interesting social questions.  Look how far A-row is standing from his best friends on the team.

    I thought that too, but if you look at the pic all of the tall guys are pretty much in back and the short guys are in front. The only difference is Dye in front, but he was the MVP.

  14. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 09:54 AM)
    I have mixed feelings about this event.    On the one hand, it's awesome that Chicago gets the event.  With that many stages over 3 days, there are bound to be a lot of acts worth the time.  We had a blast at last year's.

    On the other hand, now it's become a huge event and you'll get the 'event' crowd there.  Also, now they need to sell a lot of tix, so look for some really, mainstream acts to be on the bill.  I say the Pumpkins and Dave Mathews  :puke  each headline one night.

    http://www.suntimes.com/output/derogatis/c...tr-lolla14.html

    LOL, its been a big event pretty much from the start. The difference now is the acts that they use to draw the fans. In the beginning, it was up and comers. Now it is all about the money makers, the DMBs and the Smashing Pumpkins and anyone who can fill up a venue. Thats pretty much why Perry Ferrell abandoned the project in the late 90s.

    A 3 day Lollapalooza is pretty awesome though, I know I would make an effort to go to one night.

  15. Ill tell you this as a child who had step parents and as the father of a Stepchild:

    There is no way in hell I would do that to my wife's kid. My kid, well that might be a different story(although the kid in the video seems to be a very easily scared kid). My brother, oh hell yes. But not my step kid. No way jose. Too many "Look what you did to my kid" scenarios that I have personally had to deal with growing up to risk that proposition.

    But it was funny.
