  1. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ May 11, 2007 -> 02:32 PM) I was being ironic. who the hell remembers the TV show beauty and the beast. I do. But only because I am a Ron Perlman fan. I love his dry sense of humor. Looking at the screenshot, I cant see Ron Perlman, it really looks like Dennis Hopper if anyone . Maybe he only supplied the voice for Jacob's "Help Me".
  2. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ May 11, 2007 -> 01:54 PM) “The Man Behind the Curtain” – Ben begrudgingly introduces Locke to the island's secrets, including mysterious Jacob; Juliet's secret goes public, on “Lost,” WEDNESDAY, MAY 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Guest starring are M.C Gainey as Mr. Friendly, Mira Furlan as Danielle Rousseau,Kevin Tighe as Anthony Cooper, Courtney Lavigne as Karen DeGroot, Michael Gilday as Gerald DeGroot, Tania Raymond as Alex, Blake Bashoff as Karl, François Chau as Dr. Marvin Candle, Michael Bowen as Pickett, Stephanie March as Debora, Andrew Divoff as Mikhail Bakunin, Ken Olin as Roger, Paul Calderon as Ted, Ron Perlman as Jacob, Derik Doyle as young Ben, Marsha Thomason as Naomi, Jennifer Stacy as old woman and Rob Thompson as Dharma worker. “The Man Behind the Curtain” was written by Drew Goddard & Christina M. Kim and directed by Jack Bender. Think "Beauty and the Beast" http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000579/ or more recently, think Hellboy
  3. QUOTE(mreye @ May 11, 2007 -> 12:00 PM) I finished my first half marathon last Saturday. My official time was 1:58:53 (a 9:05 pace). I was hoping to beat 1:50, but was a little overwhelmed by the amount of runners (38,000+) and the humidity was high. I had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year. This was the Indianapolis Mini Marathon. It's a blast! They have 120 bands and entertainers along the route and you run a complete lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (Really cool!). I would definitely recommend it for any runner. As many of you know, I ran in high school and gained about 90 pounds since then. In January 2006, at 235 pounds, I decided enough was enough and got back to running - I grew in love with it again and I have lost 44 pounds to date. As for my earlier hopes of running the Chicago Marthon - I missed the signup date and will try to get in next year. I thought about running a different one, but if I only run one in my life I want it to be Chicago! Pictures Wait a second, you have 2 eyes? Im confused, your sig and screename are too misleading On a serious note, that is impressive to jump back into running like that and stick with it. I tried to start up running to prepare myself for softball this summer, but I just practiced more with my team and stopped running. I plan on starting again soon, but it hasnt happened yet. The running I did prevented me from pulling my quads like I did before, but there was soreness that I did not expect after our first doubleheader. Anyhow, congrats on finishing and continuing your regimen.
  4. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 11, 2007 -> 11:01 AM) You guys won't have to deal with me tonight!!! I'm going to the game! *dances* So, of course, with my amazing presence gracing the Cell, we will win, in a dominating fashion, 7-1. And it wont be because of Ozzie
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 10, 2007 -> 11:21 AM) Shouldn't Willie Harris count for two players? I mean, is there a better player in the game? See, this is where I am confused. Willie Harris is on the active roster, isnt he African American? http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/team/roster_...ve.jsp?c_id=atl I just dont understand how the Braves got singled out. Because it is Atlanta and there is a high population of African American people? Isnt the same true of Oakland, Chicago, New York? And this statement: Doesnt Willie Harris negate this statement completely? Isnt he from Georgia, near Atlanta? I just dont get it.
  6. i could see it as possibly being Locke with hair. But I have no doubt that there is a supernatural element(the murderous black fog) to the island that hasnt been explained yet, so who knows who or what Jacob could be.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ May 11, 2007 -> 09:38 AM) Predicted lineup: Erstad/Ozuna/PK/Dye/AJP/Crede/Iguchi/Uribe/Terrero Don't be mad if Sweeney doesn't play. Dont ask this of me, I cannot do that. I understand where Ozzie is coming from though, Odalis Perez is a tough lefty. I want to see the kid everyday now. I dont think I have been this excited about a prospect in a long time. There is just something I see in his approach at the plate that makes me think that he is the real deal, and the more time he spends in the minors, the more his growth will be stunted. Let it ride.
  8. It is amazing what people can see and isolate with computers nowadays. 10 years ago this would have been a mystery with everyone saying "I saw it", "I didnt see anything", "I think I saw something", and no one would really know except the writers.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 11, 2007 -> 12:05 AM) Well, if you don't like it, you can go to the back of the bus. LMAO! Heads rules!
  10. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2007 @ May 11, 2007 -> 01:40 AM) Did you actually read any of the pre-draft reports? The league he came from is supposed to be better than the NCAA. He was supposed to step right in and contribute. The tall guard the Bulls so desperately needed. I'm not saying the dude is garbage and will never amount to anything. But as far as right now, color me unimpressed. Draft Express http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=280 ESPN http://myespn.go.com/profile/truehoop?arch...13&start=31 http://www.sportznutz.com/nba/nba_roundup/index.htm http://basketballdraftcentral.blogspot.com...mock-as-of.html http://nbadraft.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=557325 I see alot about potential, but I dont see much about ability to step in right away and contribute besides backing up Gordon and Hinrich. Most draft reports have him as a solid pick who is going to need some work, which is exactly what he is. I think you need to step back and realize how how he has progressed, how long he has been playing basketball, and how high his ceiling really is. The guy is a rookie and guarding some of the best players in the league in the 2nd round of the playoffs, and being commended for his defense. Calling him a bust is pretty narrow minded
  11. At first when Mikhail told Ben of the outsider(helicopter Pilot) and looked surprised that she was on the island, I believed he was putting on a show for Locke so that Locke would believe that he didnt know about her. But when Ben shot Locke and basically lost it when Locke wasnt telling him what Jacob said, then I started to wonder what was really going through Bens mind. The great thing about Bens character is how he is able to manipulate any given situation by presenting anything as the truth at that time. I am really looking forward to seeing his transition to the leader of the Hostiles and how he got to where he was. And one thing that is still really bugging me is how Mikhail survived the fence. Blood doesnt tend to hemmorhage out of your nose, mouth and ears for no good reason. And if you survive that, you shouldnt be able to run around an island aimlessly.
  12. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 10, 2007 -> 12:44 PM) If Sweeney goes back to AAA when Thome comes back, Kenny REALLY needs to consider firing Ozzie. This is such a tired act. Just put it in your sig and stop repeating it. We all know how you feel
  13. QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ May 10, 2007 -> 11:36 AM) Didn't they get reprimanded for creating artificial noise during Vikings games as well? Amplifying the noise that was already in there. Basically putting a microphone on the crowd and piping it through the speakers at full blast
  14. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ May 10, 2007 -> 05:37 AM) But...but...but...he's a hoss! Are you not impressed with the rippling muscles and a lame ass sit out powerbomb? The students at my school are all pissed off that Edge won the belt from Taker. They hate all the heels. So, I keep promoting Vince. They also don't like that I am a huge Kennedy fan and an Edgehead. It is so much fun to make fun of Cena and Batista. It is truly an awful finishing move. Batista never completes the move and always ends up splayed out falling backwards
  15. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ May 10, 2007 -> 12:35 AM) I don't see how much farther Charlie's character can go or how much more the whole Desmond seeing Charlie dieing can advance the plot. He's gone by the end of the season. Desmond tells charlie he is gonna die in this upcoming episode, but that doesnt mean that he isnt going to be revived. I still think Juliette is up to something and acting as the diversion. The other side of the tape with Bens recording is really fishy. It just seems canned and faked. QUOTE(thedoctor @ May 10, 2007 -> 07:00 AM) what the hell is up with that richard dude not aging? I thought the same thing. He looks younger than Ben, but he was at least 10 years older than Ben when he met him as a teenage boy.
  16. Jacob just became interesting as well. I thought it was a show that Ben was putting on like Locke did, but Locke saw Jacob for a second and it freaked him out. I wonder if it is the spirit of one of the Dharma Initiative(maybe the guy whose eyes were closed by Ben?)
  17. I refuse to believe Locke is done. The guy has beaten too many odds. Ben was a cold blooded MOFO. Its interesting that the Van driver was Bens dad.
  18. You know what is sad? Danks probably wont get to have a beer shower.
  19. MAcDougals velocity is down, something is up with him. He was throwing junk and lots of it.
  20. How could Castillos ugly swing be so successful?
  21. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 9, 2007 -> 09:06 PM) I guess it wasn't really "overpitching" but more of pitching when he shouldn't have. He was on the DL, came off, and pitched almost immediately after he came off. And hurt himself, bad, obviously. I think they should have shut him down until atleast September. Just my opinion. He should have been shut down for good, his elbow was done when he went down.
  22. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 9, 2007 -> 09:05 PM) Liriana was handled with kid gloves. They put him in the bullpen to start 2006 despite his readiness to dominate at the beginning of last season. Liriano had some injuries with the Giants, IIRC, and I thought I recall reading that his motion wasn't particularly 'clean'. Ha, similar post.
  23. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 9, 2007 -> 09:02 PM) A.K.A. Liriano. I dont know that Liriano was overpitched. He started in the bullpen, and they moved him to starter, he probably didnt have many innings on his arm when he went down. IIRC, his injury was due more to his pitching motion(ie. a loop in his delivery) that put a lot of stress on his elbow.
