  1. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) i dont think that is too demanding but i will consider anything in the 100 level that is not in the outfield..... If I read correctly earlier, the Sox have already sold 31K + tickets for this game. Welcome to the wonderful world of Walk-up sales.
  2. I need the numbers to the 145 million dollar lotto ticket. The drawing is tuesday, so I need them by tomorrow.
  3. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) No. I'll do you one better. Going to the game. I scraped together some dough. You bastard. I was going, until I realized that I have only so much money to make the trip to Carbondale this upcoming weekend. Next monday night game I am there though

    What a loser

The guy would have been exposed as just a loser if he hadnt signed that girls jersey. I guess when you are in that far, you gotta keep up with your story. That girl has to be PISSED. Its funny though. I would have written something on it like "You go Girl! - Big Ben"
  5. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) Wow. There is no way to rationalize what Casey Blake said. It makes no sense. I would guess that he must have been... a ) drunk b ) drunk c ) stooopit d ) drunk e ) all of the above it's one of those. what a dips***. Ok, now I think I can choose E
  6. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Hawkins never gives up runs when its a lead of 3 or more. This is a team that relies on the One-Run win. Tell me how Hawkins does with a one-run lead, not a 3 run lead. chattin tonite?
  7. I like scoop, he seems like a pretty fair guy. I used to listen to him on Foxsports.com, Stephen A Smith would be screaming at people and calling them stupid, and Scoop would just tell him he was wrong and SAS couldnt say anything about it.
  8. Im curious if would care at all about them if there wasnt oil involved. My guess is no.
  9. QUOTE(Princess Dye @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 12:52 PM) so there is no importance to the fact that the Score says this trade is happening? No, there is no importance at all. If we posted all of the links that said a trade is happening, there would be no end to it. If we reported every radio station that said a trade is happenign, there would be no end to it. Reporters and Columnists throw as much s*** on the wall as they can to see what sticks. You just have to wait until a trade is made to say that it is done. Remember when Boston reported that the A-Rod deal was done and the only thing that was holding it up is the players association deciding if they could re-work A-Rods deal?
  10. Lets make it simple Princess. Dont post a trade as being done until it is so. Until then, it is a RUMOR, and thus belongs in the White Sox RUMOR threads. There was no sarcasm there, so dont worry about detecting it
  11. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) But Lowell has been more successful than Crede in the span that Crede has been up in the MLB... Are we living in the past or in the present? In the present, Crede is considerably outperforming Lowell.

    Gooch

Im not necassarily convinced the two players are connected so much as to think that moving Shingo would be a detriment to Iguchi. They are both proffessionals, they know how things work.
  13. Although it would be funny if Hawkins came back to Chicago and performed well. Cubs fans would be PISSED.
  14. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 11:40 AM) too easy... yes she was. that was how she got 7 kids.
  15. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 11:40 AM) Let's also not forget he has only 2 options for playing in the NL: PH, & 1B. He's more likely to injure his elbow or back playing 1B than he is DH'g. With the White Sox or any AL team for that matter he would DH almost as often as he plays 1B. So you want Thome to come to a team that already has two DH options, and still no backup at 1st?
  16. Its not an opinion Juggs, its been known for quite some time.
  17. Blake is still wondering how he had one hit in 4 games, to go along with 4 strikeouts. He was awful this weekend, he really shouldnt have been talking about anyone.
  18. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) Correction. Thome was definitely considered a health risk before that signing. That's why that deal was so ludicrous. I agree YASNY, everythign i read was how all the teams were scared off because of Thomes current and impending back problems. The guy turns on the ball like Canseco used to, im sure his lower back is all twisted up.
  19. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:02 AM) Regardless to what was said...Thome would love to hit at the Cell...at least he has so far in his career. As opposed to the bandbox he currently hits in? Im sure it really doesnt matter to him right now.
  20. I loved big league chew when I was little. I tried it last year, I was playing softball and my daughter got some at the refreshment stand. That stuff almost melted my molars. I chewed for about a sec and it was just too sweet anymore. My favorite candy when i was a kid? Probably Bit o' Honey and Superope.
  21. Big Jason Stark insider article on ESPN right now detailing the 10 big names to be moved, anyone have a subscription?
  22. I was under the impression that Hanley Ramirez was untouchable. I guess when your number one starter is now closing because your closer sucks and is hurt, things change.
  23. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 10:21 AM) Where did he say this?? I'd love to read the full article. Its in the Cleveland Plain Dealer. You can find the link at www.prosportsdaily.com, under the Cleveland Indians news and rumors.
  24. And Entourage is my close second. That show is really funny. Last night I was laughing my ass off when Drama was trying to get a part in a film from some spanish director by asking him in the Q&A after his showing at the Sundance Film Festival. And the fact that Turtle and Drama's "swords crossed" still has me laughing.
  25. My favorite show was put on hiatus for the summer(which really pissed me off) so that Greys Anatomy could be shown. Boston Legal. William Shatners turn as Denny Crain is awesome. He is a scene stealer, actually Candice bergen, James Spader, and William Shatner are all scene stealers in that show.
