hmmm, I wonder what he would have said if the Indians swept the series. "The White Sox have to be the best team we have ever faced."

QUOTE(daa84 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 08:21 AM) oh lord i would love to land any one of conor jackson, carlos quentin, stephen drew. not that any of them will be traded, at least not for shingo. Something tells me that Boras wont let Drew become part of the White Sox organization.

Anyone think Rowand is almost done with the Sox?
Kyyle23 replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Rowand pre and post all star break numbers 2004 pre ASB .298, 9 HR, 18 doubles, 1 triple, 21 RBI post ASB .319, 15 HR, 20 doubles, 1 triple, 48 RBI 2003 pre ASB .250, 3 HR, 28 doubles, 0 triples, 14 RBI (111 AB) post ASB .370, 3 HR, 17 doubles, 0 triples, 10 RBI (46 AB) Small sample size for Rowand, but all signs indicate he is a much better hitter after the All Star Break. Im glad that we are ready to jettison him after the year because Brian Anderson is "clearly ready for the show". LOL -
Somehow, I dont think this one is going to make ESPN: my my, it must be Anne's time of the month. Unfortunate for her that it coincided with a 3 game drop in the standings. I luuuuuv being fascist

I hate to interrupt your little argument here, because I think it is a fascinating argument with both sides of the spectrum represented, but I thought a little suicide handbook might help clear up some things. http://www.answers.com/topic/suicide The majority of people who commit suicide are mentally ill, but not all are mentally ill. back to your left and right -isms......

Im sad that Mitch Hedberg died, but I am not surprised. The guy liked smack too much, and it finally took him. Kinda like Layne Staley. Mitch was the master of the One-Liner, that guy had me in stitches from the simplest observations. I dont know much of Soto, I am curious as to why he passed away.

Bayless is a windbag. That guy hardly ever says anything worth repeating. Him and Mariotti are the same, which is funny because they argue so much when they are on PTI or ATH

Yeah, welcome. Try not to make more repeat threads and you will fit in just fine. There is this bigass thread at the top of the page entitled "Trade thread", check it out.

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) ESPN is reporting that Brett Boone, the roid machine who scored a huge contract with the needle and then went south when MLB finally cleaned up the game, is on a very short leash it seems. 10 days to be exact, to prove his worth or the Twins are going to start looking at alternative solutions. If there's anything more fun to watch than the Twins in desperation mode, I'd like to know what it is! LOL, 10 day contract and then HE GAWN! Couldnt of happened to a more arrogant crybaby

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 12:53 AM) That's just some f***ed up s*** to have stuck in your head while at work. I agree. I had to chase my 4 year old daughter away from the computer because I was worried she would have nightmares.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 12:05 AM) Why does the idiot always live and the inocent alway die Im not the most religious person in the world, but I have to believe that the powers that be let the "idiots" stay around and live with what they have done, and embrace the innocent.

the song was stuck in your head, or the hideous images were stuck in your head?

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 11:33 PM) pansy LOL, this coming from the guy who said "f*** you for showing me that."

I believe you have to install the software, because you have to boot up your ipod when you get it. I could be wrong though. Just try connecting your ipod to your computer and see if Itunes recognizes it, it couldnt hurt. I do know that you have to load a few things onto the ipod and name it, much like you do with any computer.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...otes/index.html Im sorry, but a perfect game is just that. A 2 hitter will never be better than a perfect game. Its PERFECT YOU f***ING MORON. PERFECT. HE DID NOTHING WRONG. NO WALKS. NO HITS. NO ERRORS. P-E-R-F-E-C-T The Braves were awful at the time? GMAFB. The Braves ended the year 96-66, in first place, in the playoffs. Donovan is such a moron it is unreal.

QUOTE(AirScott @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) another thought, still the Lakers could surprise a lot of people, Mihm at center, Kwame PF, Odom SF, Kobe at the 2, and it-doesn't-matter at PG, with Phil Jackson bringing in an offensive system (the triangle, compared to "Give-the-ball-to-Kobe-and-be-ready-for-a-pass-just-in-case"), nobody's being asked to do too much and maybe now they'll play as a team. now that I think more, if Kwame comes close to reaching that potential, they could be a serious contender. Thats basically the triangle. Spread out the floor so your scorer(Jordan or Kobe) can attack the basket and still have an option if he cannot get there. Kobe modiffied it last year to exclude the pass option The triangle isnt as special as everyone seems to think it is. Remember when Mr Bill employed it with the baby bulls? Not to mention that they couldnt figure out its "intricacies", but it just doesnt work if you dont have a bigtime scorer. The Bulls of the 90's had 2 bigtime scorers, and the Lakers before last year had 2 bigtime scorers, so it made Phil look like a genius, when all it really does is give them more opportunities to go one on one. Shaq, Pippen, Jordan, and Kobe can go one on one all day long and noone could hang with them. I have become less enamored with Phil since I have been able to look at him from afar.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) What's a CD? Ever since I got the iTrip for the iPod, I unfortunately never listen to CDs anymore. Not even in the car. I like the Itrip, its a really cool and handy little device. But I will be completely honest with you, as soon as I can afford a head unit with an Ipod adapter Im gonna get it. There is a definite and audible dropoff in sound quality with the Itrip, and it really drives me nuts. Im sort of a perfectionist when I listen to music, I strive for clarity, and I listen to music LOUD in my car. You kind of have to haggle with the Ipod when you move from song to song.

Its hard for me to believe how much my opinion of Cruise has changed in only the past 4 months. He went from solid leading man(in my mind at least) to crazy, cradle robbing, scientology militant, loudmouthed moron. It all happened so fast.

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 04:29 PM) I think the answer here is Obvious.... Aubrey Huff.... Big back... Can play 3B for now... and when Crede is fully healthy it allows us to give Konerko his walking papers... Plus can spell the OF too... Big bat... Impact player.... For a package of Anderson, Sweeney, and BMAC maybe the DRAY'S Will bite.. Why dont we just give them Young and Gio too? Geez, just because Lamarr demands a kings ransom doesnt mean we have to give it to him.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) Haha I actually know what that is. It's a short film directed by Chris Cunningham who's been behind a bunch of other trippy music videos. Including one of my personal favorite's the ultimate trip video Windowlicker by Aphex Twin. I haven't seen the full rubber johnny video yet though. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0192260/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0441787/ http://www.rubberjohnny.tv/ Aaah, Aphex Twin. It all makes sense now. I remember those videos
