  1. Turn the bachelor party into a sort of a treasure hunt through bars. Have a list of things he has to do to move on to the next bar. 1. One fuzzy navel body shot from a bartender or bar slut(must have 2 witnesses) 2. one retrieved urinal cake(lol, I cant believe I just thought of that) 3. Give a girl a blowjob shot(kahlua, vodka, with whipped cream on the top, get your mind outta the gutter;) ) from your lap(must have witness) etc etc you get the idea. There are so many things to do and make people do at bars it is silly side note: My wife just got back from a bachelorette party this weekend, and told me that her friend made 200 bucks doing "Buck for a Suck"(tape blowpops all over your body and make people remove them with their mouth). I was like "Why the hell didnt you do that when you had your bachelorette party? We could have used an extra 200 bucks!

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) It's hard to discribe, their first album was mainly punk/ska/rock with a bit of rap thrown in. The new Album "Haunted Cities" is more rap oriented seeing how Rob Aston is mixing in a lot more of his sound into the band, however any band that has Tim Armstrong as an exclusive member must have atleast half the songs in his punk/ska/rock sound. So in other words it's really hard to describe their sound. http://www.myspace.com/thetransplants Are a fan of the Urge? I used to see them twice a year when I lived in Carbondale at the Copper Dragon(the best little venue in the world), hell of a show.
  4. How is Jaret Wright not on the scufflin list? Or on the Worthless list?

  6. Ozuna just lets those sharp grounders eat him up. You can tell he is used to the ball coming to him just a shade slower at SS.

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 01:20 PM) CD player in car: Scorpions - Bad for Good Scorpions, I havent heard much from them in a while. I remember they got mad airplay on The Blaze(103.5) when I was in high school. Lots of "Rainbow in the Dark"
  15. QUOTE(Southside hitmen @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) A.J. Burnett, Marlins His last few starts have been erratic, but he's mowing down hitters and intriguing a lot of clubs. He's a free agent after the season, so the Marlins figure they're better off getting something for a quality pitcher -- when healthy -- who will price himself out of their budget next year. Potential Suitors: White Sox, Orioles, Yankees I wonder how many more times this will be posted today in a similar form? lol
  16. Woo Woo is fine, he was on the radio this morning with Ron Majors. It was also a false report, Woo Woo said on the air that he wasnt married, so his wife couldnt have reported him missing. Why are we worrying about this again?
  17. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) Who is more likely to go 7-2 over his next 11 starts: El Duque, Burnett, or Schmidt? El Duque. It might be ugly but he wins far more often than he losses. I cannot disagree with this more. Im not going to start a numbers discussion, I will just state that I disagree.
  18. QUOTE(knightni @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) EDIT: Only we at Soxtalk would start a thread about a woman's titties and end up at Star Trek. LMAO

Slightly different from the music thread. When i interviewed people on the radio station I worked at, I liked to use the question "What are you listening to now"(like its so original) followed by "If you were on an island and could only have 5 cds with you for the rest of your life, what would you pick?" I think it gives a good indication of where that person is in their life and what they are about. Currently the bands with the most plays on my Ipod are Failure(Fantastic Planet), Peter Gabriel(various), On(Shifting Skin), The Killers(various), Hum(You'd Prefer and Astronaut), and Brand New(Deja Entendu) My 5 cds would be 1. 311 - Grassroots 2. Brand New - Deja Entendu 3. David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust 4. Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile 5. Failure - Fantastic Planet this will be a good way to branch out my music interests since I no longer work in radio.
  20. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) I think that it was implied in my statement earlier that I knew that. there was no implication. We have no proof that you knew this.I think you are trying to sully Knightni's good name on this site
  21. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 12:54 PM) I would have liked to have him on the Sox. that makes 2 of us. but then again, Stanton has been pretty bad this year
  22. I was 6 when that happened. I have no idea what was going on then except that macaroni and cheese was the best 3 course meal ever and He-Man was my idol.
  23. ESPN1000 just reported that Mike Stanton signed or will sign with the Nationals today
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) The Yankees have a few worthy trade pieces...Cano, Wang, and maybe 1 or 2 other elements sitting around. They're still somewhat bare, but they have things to dump. Right now Cano and Wang are pretty key to the Yanks getting out of their early season slump. I really dont foresee either of them being tradebait.
  25. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) His pitches can dip from mid 50's to low 90's featuring: 2 seam fastball, 4 seam fastball, changeup, curveball, & slider. What? El Duque has hit 90 one time that i can recall. He has been 80-87 with his fastball most of the time, and he hasnt been able to spot his changeup, curve or slider, resulting in his 2 and 4 seamers getting crushed. I like El Duque, but he has not shown much this season (durability and recent performance) to warrant my undying faith in him during the second half. If he is shipped to the bully because a trade is made, I will not cry about it, thats for sure.
