QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 02:15 PM) So someone quickly educate me since I'm not a big NFC North guy. Are all 3 teams still in the hunt for the division crown? The Lions Lionsed and therefore are no longer in the hunt. The Bears or Packers will finish with a better record(9-7 or 8-7-1) than they can possibly have(8-8)

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 01:43 PM) It's weird to see the Bears this bad at defense. In recent years even their bad defenses were still ok. Lovie kept pushing the expiration date back and getting a lot out of what he had, but once that cliff came they went careening over it at 100 MPH

Trestman cannot work miracles with this defense

I didnt realize Schwartz got into it with the booing fans last night(even though he is denying it today). I guess he is just going out in a blaze of glory

McCowan, McNown, McOwn. Is it really that hard? The guys last name is 6 letters long

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 10:38 PM) First "ITS ALL CUTLIRS FOLT BENCH HER AN SINE MICCOWEN FOR 10 YEERS" call on 670's postgame show. I have heard the "WE NEED MIKE DITKAS FIRE AND PASSION" call multiple times this morning

Im not sure about Cassell in Minnesota, but all three QBs for the Lions, Bears and Packers threw a pick 6. Cutlers Pick 6 was just icing on the cake, but the Lions and Packers Pick 6's were pretty significant

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 09:39 AM) Decamillis sets a pretty low bar. And this time, while it "led" to TDs, ultimately the defense didn't have to give up 7 in both scenarios. I am by no means absolving the defense

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 09:35 AM) I think I black out every time podlesh comes on the field. The sad thing is they tried out Punters after week 4 because his performance was so bad against the Lions, and nobody beat him out.

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 09:30 AM) Barring the Hester fumble I thought our ST was finally decent! Really? The first punt of the game went 25 yards. The first two ST plays effectively put 14 points on the board for the Eagles

It is so aggravating to see how unprepared the team was in all three phases yesterday. Nobody came to play

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 23, 2013 -> 08:25 AM) Yeah, there's not an NFL equivalent of "basketball hell." Having no picks(through trading them away) is the closest thing to it. Of course having higher picks is better, but all in all, the GM needs to find value out of 200+ picks, not 60 (like in the NBA).

Conte is just terrible

They jumped the Bears. The Bears have to return the favor in the second half

Is this real life?

Considering how this season has gone, you could not ask for a better scenario

How did Eli win two superbowls against the Pats

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 10:42 AM) Still have not seen why 99% of twitter accounts are needed. Few people need to have their opinions heard. I follow a lot of random accounts that make me laugh, but people in positions of power within their companies should just shut them down. It doesn't seem like a lot of good comes of it

@mortreport: Aaron Rodgers fractured collarbone still "extraordinary risk" per sources. No real "organizational decision" as McCarthy repeated Friday @AdamSchefter: Raiders owner Mark Davis recently rejected HC Dennis Allen's request to give extensions to Oakland asst coaches in last year of their deal. @AdamSchefter: One Penn State official said Bill O’Brien’s rep recently approached the school about potential reducing his NFL buyout even further. @AdamSchefter: Bill O'Brien's amended contract shows he reduced the price of an NFL buyout from $19.33 million last year to $6.48 million for this year. Good lord that's a lot for obrien

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 22, 2013 -> 10:12 AM) Ha, I didn't even realize they let Jolly back in the league. At least he will have more time to sip on his sizzurp now. Jolly has been pretty good this season for them

Fallon and Timberlake on SNL has been awesome so far

Hornets new logo

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 21, 2013 -> 05:17 PM) Seriously. People have way to much time to care if they are worried about what nobodies are saying on twitter to the point it becomes a national story. With all that is wrong in this country, put that outrage energy to positive use somewhere. It's crazy that this girl tweeted this, took a twelve hour internet-free flight, and had no job when she got off the flight

@NFL_ATL: Packer officially place DE Johnny Jolly and TE Brandon Bostick on IR. Their seasons are over.
