QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 29, 2013 -> 11:29 AM) If youre in a 14 team league you may have to start a guy like Eddie Royal. It just depends on how deep your league is. And I have no idea why anyone would believe in Gelnnon at this point? Some leagues have guys like Tannehill still available, no way id go Glennon. Fantasy football is not immune to backup QB syndrome

I enjoyed Iron Man 3 a lot, even with the Mandarin being what he was. I thought Guy Pearce was really good. I'm also looking forward to the continuation of the extremis storyline in SHIELD

Tournaments are a blast, But you really feel it the next day. I played a tournament in roselle a few years back an we played 4 games in 95 degree weather. I felt very old the next few days.

Favorite non-star White Sox players
I really liked Ellis Burks the one year he was with the White Sox. Always seemed like he should have been better than he was. He had a huge outlier season in Colorado though

2013 TV Thread
i honestly dont think the Lost writers thought past the first season when they wrote it, and each season they went one by one. They just got so caught up in trying to create this elaborate painting that in the end it ended up being a very big mess. There were so many times I was like "damnit im sucked back in" only to watch the next episode and be pissed off and skip watching a few episodes and catchup later.

QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 10:19 AM) Boldin is held really high in my league for whatever reason and I thought I'd sell high on him but didn't expect such a great deal to come up. Amendola is also held high in my league as everyone in the group chat was saying it was fair because he'll come back next week and put up big numbers with Brady. I just think this isn't Amendola's last injury for the year. I do not necessarily like Roddy White and Larry Fitz was who I wanted but I still see value either way. I am sure all of the Roddy White owners would agree that he should have just sat a couple weeks and let his ankle heal. Until he has a breakout game I am not considering starting him. and you are correct to have this reservation about Amendola

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 08:17 AM) We're just lucky Bevington was managing then. Had it been Ozzie, he would have started for the next 10 years. Manuel was managing when that stoner hit the big leagues

Gomez and Maholm have a little history between them. Gomez has crushed Maholm (9/20, 2 homeruns), and Maholm has hit Gomez a few times.

2013 White Sox Grades
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 10:38 PM) Don't care for individual grades. Team/coaching/organization grade: F The White Sox are ratchet and busted. wretched. lol unless of course you mean: a mechanical device that allows continuous linear or rotary motion in only one direction while preventing motion in the opposite direction. in that case, i dont understand

Arte Moreno is crazy with his checkbook, but is he really crazy enough to pay Scioscia to go away after this season? IIRC he has like 15+mil left on his contract through 2018

QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 01:30 PM) Did you see Trindon Holliday last night though? Same s***. Yea i did, they are very similar in how they run(and Holliday is getting away with a lot because he is still young and fast as hell). But damn, Devin set the bears up behind the 15 yard line on his first 3 kicks.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 11:59 AM) From that hit last night Pryor apparently remembers nothing. Probably good for him considering how f***ing terrible the Raiders are. he got crushed on that hit, completely sandwiched between those two defenders.

2013-2014 NFL Thread
QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 10:49 AM) I'll say this in his defense (beside punt returns where he has been terrible), the problems we've seen with devin I've seen league wide in games. Kickers are getting really smart with placement on kickoffs now. With KRs back so deep to get where kicks are landing, I've seen a lot of these kicks that hit at about the 10, really far for them to run up. It puts the return men in either terrible catching position or it creates a weird bounce. We saw that with hester where the ball bounced straight up at the 5, he had to take it out and only got to the ten. The extra 10 yards has allowed kickers to worry less about distance and focus on placement and they are making life difficult as hell for return men. I understand that the Kickers are getting smarter, but Devin has always had a problem with dancing around looking for a lane. When he was younger and faster, he could get away with it. Now, he just puts the offense in a bad starting position. And yea, Punt returns. Oh my god.
