  1. Mark Sanchez most likely done for the year, world gives no f***s http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=9663997
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 05:38 AM) Rolled my ankle on Sat playing basketball, didn't sprain since I play with braces but just tweaked it. Was going to sit out today but team needs me. Lots of guys out of town, so this should be fun. There is pain but got swelling down and walking normally. It's my left foot so I'm tentative to plant it when I swing. Wrap that thing tight
  3. If you were a football player on twitter and fans kept pestering you about being healthy and should they start you, would you mess with them? I would
  4. I think they all got butt hurt because he was spitting on the bases when he was trotting around them and because of the bat flip/stare down. Comcast showed him rounding third and spitting on the base and that's when the Braves really got pissed
  5. Barry Bonds was one if the games best hitters before he began doping(well, obvious doping). It turned him into an unstoppable force. Other players became merely better
  6. The score is a huge bunch of pessimistic Bears fans, and this is coming from a fan of the Score. The callers are even worse
  7. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 06:11 PM) I absolutely hate listening to Bears talk.. it is like having a bunch of Cubs fans talking about how awesome they are and how the championship is theirs. Lol what Bears talk are you listening to?
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 03:28 PM) Agreed. And when I look back at the 01-04 numbers, especially 2004, they are just unbelievable. .609 OBP, lol. Bonds was intentionally walked with the bases loaded. That is absurd. Even more absurd was how much he raked, and how few hittable pitches he actually saw

I remember being extremely hungover and my phone ringing over and over, and me and my roommate ignoring it until he finally got up and found out it was his mom calling us to tell us what happened. We turned the tv on just in time to see the second plane hit. I also remember the gas station down the street going from 1.20 a gallon to 1.85 a gallon by the end of the day. Then back down to 1.20 three days later
  10. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 01:26 PM) You started this thread in the morning, so I assumed this was a getaway day game, and that I was going to have something to entertain me at work this afternoon. Thanks a lot, jackass! Listen to the mike and mike podcast on loop

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 09:58 AM) Caught a weird movie last night: "Shame" starring Michael Fassbender and the chick that married the lead singer from Mumford. One of those movies without much of a plot or even a reason to be made other than to get a glimpse at a certain kind of person (in this case, a sex addict). It was a movie stuck too far up its own ass to be considered good, although it was interesting. The ending was meh though. Yea it is a weird movie. You want to say its good, but it just leaves you feeling empty
  12. Because gamethreads need to be made
  13. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 07:45 AM) true, but that's a very low hurdle to clear All I ask for when I listen to a morning show is Chicago based sports talk, and never having to listen to ESPN made up storylines. m&h provide that so we are all good QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 07:46 AM) Did Jamie Duke expect to see the entirety of a new offensive system in the first game? I'm not sure what Dukes wanted. Not really sure what he watched either. He got punked on twitter when he condescendingly asked for examples of differences
  14. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 06:51 AM) I blame anybody who listens to Mully & Hanley. I like M&H a hell of a lot better than Mike and Mike
  15. Did anyone hear Jamie Dukes on Mully & Hanley? He said that watching the Bears it looked exactly like Lovie was coaching and absolutely nothing was different. Then he insinuated not only was Lovie fired for a racist reason, but that is also the reason why he isn't employed. Today Laurence Holmes got into a little twitter war with him over it, he was sincerely pissed off about it. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/09/10/jam...nt-than-lovies/
  16. QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 05:29 PM) Never did play my Minoso Game this year. Oh well, I still have 9 years to log one in this decade. Next year you should come play with us once
  17. I think the three games I have played this fall have been higher temperatures than any game I played over the entire summer season, and this week is probably going to be no different
  18. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 05:14 PM) I apologize for disagreeing with you, sir. No problem whatsoever, ace
  19. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 04:43 PM) Umm....obviously. Thanks for the input, joe
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 02:20 PM) And I don't know why I should be impressed that their bodies reacted better to the extreme chemical components put through it than other people's did. You don't have to be. Bury it however you please
  21. Ha, I love when ESPN metrics get Tebowed
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 12:43 PM) Um, Hell Yes. No, those guys still were awesome. You still have to be able to hit it out. The more I think about steroids in the game, the less they bother me. There was tons of juicing going on back then, including the pitchers they were facing. I think the playing field was a hell of a lot more level than people think it was. It wasn't just those three. And if all Balentien is doing is hitting the same juiced ball everyone else is, I'm still impressed. He is hitting titanic shots, not cheapies
  23. QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 12:00 PM) I'm merely unimpressed with him potentially beating the home run record. Had there not been a "juicing" period he probably isn't approaching that feet. I wish they had game logs to see how many of those HRs were hit during the 60 game period. Was McGwire/Sosa/Bonds less impressive because they were juicing? Steroids or ball juicing, that is a lot of f***ing home runs and somehow nobody else is doing the same thing as him

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 10, 2013 -> 04:29 AM) Also lets you use Netflix and Hulu like other devices. The Ouya is f***ed. The Ouya has a lot of bad things going on right now, their crowd funding got suspended due to suspected donation fraud http://mobile.theverge.com/2013/8/29/46728...funding-scandal
