  1. Well, I guess Jensen left the Sun Times http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-sports-m...-sun-times-642/
  2. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 11:14 AM) Excellent, thanks. what ever happened to Sean Jensen? Not sure, he hasnt been in my twitter feed in quite a long time. Maybe re assigned and just doesnt tweet as much as he used to. Adam Jahns seems to be the new suntimes beat writer. Matt Bowen is a really interesting follow too. He is very detailed, I have enjoyed listening to him break down games in post game shows on the score. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 11:30 AM) Ugh, Hub Arkush If Julius Peppers had 17 sacks this season he'd start talking about how that means Shea McClellin failed to develop and couldn't take some of the reps. If Shea himself had 10, he'd say the Bears made a huge mistake in using the franchise tag on Melton. Michael C. Wright is a good one esp. for a non-Bears fan Yea, Hub is still pissy at the Bears for taking him off the broadcast.
  3. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 11:04 AM) Who are some of the better Bears beat writers to follow on Twitter? Brad Biggs, John Mullin, Vaughn McClure, Dan Pompei, Zach Zaidman, Hub Arkush
  4. Tampa bay TE Zach Miller and TE Danny Noble both carted off the field with lower body injuries
  5. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 08:23 AM) Best active player? He's retired.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 10:07 PM) Junior Lake off to a Puig-like start for the Cubs. I always wondered why he wasn't more highly-regarded as a prospect. Lake looks like the best center fielder caulfield has ever seen. A Devon White/Mickey Mantle hybrid. There will be many articles to review.
  7. Lol, in a "random" drug test setting, why would Konerko get selected 10-11 times. It's like they are purposefully testing him because they know he is clean
  8. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 08:18 PM) I am of the opinion Danks gives up too many homers 15 in 70 innings(before tonite) is a lot?
  9. I always love public twitter shamings http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/07/24/baf...-to-ryan-braun/
  10. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 08:24 AM) Random thought but with everyone asking bucket and doc for inside info it made me wonder, has it ever been established how k0na gets his info? I follow him on twitter just in case he drops something. k0na never has revealed his source, he just said he knows someone that is very close to the situation
  11. QUOTE (Paulstar @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 08:20 PM) I had no idea he had some major league AB's as recently as 2009. I always liked Norton, came through big on a couple of occasions. IIRC he had some pretty respectable years in Colorado
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 06:57 PM) What's the first rule of fight club? Don't invite girls over to watch fight club
  13. That contract was drawn up in hell. What an absolutely deplorable thing to read
  14. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 03:08 PM) Oh good, I'm not that only one that goes down swinging in softball Yes you are. The most ridiculous part of that gif is how long the knuckler leaves the frame before it comes down and he swings at it
  15. This thread should be renamed Panda Watch 2013! The mood is tense
  16. Now that is a knuckler http://i.imgur.com/HyNfeQa.gif
  17. QUOTE (mike65 @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 02:17 PM) I don't know what the protocol is on this board for posting links but this one bears on the subject at hand and one that I am interested in since I am a Cardinal and Peavy fan. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/jon-heym...l-peavy-suitors As long as you provide links and aren't self promoting your own baseless rumor blog, you are all good
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 01:52 PM) I have no idea, it's hard to say. His positive test was in the 2011 NLDS, which was right after his MVP season. He didn't just come out of nowhere though, he was a high first round draft pick out of Miami. Unless he has been juicing the whole time, including his college days, I would think he has enough talent to keep hitting at a decent level. Well, he was in Miami.....
  19. Reggie Rose should stfu. I wish he would get the Floyd Mayweather Sr treatment and sent packing
  20. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 08:54 AM) Well it was not an international test, it was an MLB test. And while their rules were vague, you better be well versed in all potential outcomes as a course of your actions, because those technicialities are the name of the game. Sorry but I still don't see the collector as a victim in need of an apology. And what did people expect Braun to say? Millions of dollars are at stake, his livelihood is threatened (due to his own actions, yes), of course he is gonna pull out all the stops to get his name cleared. Most people would do the same. I agree he found a technicality and exposed it and we all probably would pull put all of the stops in order to protect a multi million dollar image, but now that he has been caught he owes the collector an apology IMO. He destroyed that mans image and still got caught afterwards. He will probably never deliver that apology, but it doesn't make it less deserved. The collector did what he was told and unfortunately the rules weren't made specific for him.
  21. @TheFakeESPN: Suspended for remainder of the season, Hebrew Hammer admits to being Juicing Jew.
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 04:47 PM) Well, you just said a guy was a "hidden" genius behind the movie. That's why I asked. The writer rarely gets the credit. Goyer knows the medium. From what I know of Superman, it wasn't the story that hurt it, it was the Snyder effect at the end. Even so, I really want to see it still. A friend of mine is really hard to please with movies and he loved it
  23. I should leave the thread title the way it is
