I have to admit though, I love playing in cold weather. The ball jumps off the bat better, and I never get too hot. Playing in the field is kind of annoying though, my shortstop throws very hard and I usually have numb fingers by the end of the night

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 25, 2013 -> 08:50 AM) We scored 22 in the first and started screwing around, batting lefty and such. One guy, just one guy, took offense thinking we were trying to humiliate them, and we weren't at all. We seriously could've put up 50. We started switching positions for fun and I got stuck at pitcher for an inning. Had 2 Ks. My first three pitches were all short so had to put some extra Mmph into it. The other team was awful so hold my Cy young award for a bit. The Soxtalk Cy Young has already been awarded, my friend.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2013 -> 12:21 AM) 3 dingers and a triple tonight. On fire. All fields too. Love those kind of night where your swing is just always square and the OF cant do anything. Nice night! We were down one going into the bottom of the 7th and I led off with an oppo triple down the line. It felt really good. Got the game winning sac fly in game 2 also. It was a good night.

We just had an awesome couple of playoff wins. Came back from down 1 and 3 runs in extra innings to win the first game, and won the second game 17-7. Championship game next week....on Halloween night. :/

Ozzie still out begging for a job
QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 24, 2013 -> 03:57 PM) Can somebody give me play by play? Any matchups where various managers would start to play the lefty/righty game even with workable pitch counts? Google is free to all. Unless you live in China

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 24, 2013 -> 09:57 AM) Is there actually anyone here who would want to see a Wonder Woman movie? If DC is truly building towards a Justice League movie, then yes I would. If it is just a "here is a Wonder Woman movie, enjoy" one-off, then probably not

Quintana Trade Value
QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 24, 2013 -> 09:49 AM) You guys are seriously underrating Brett Lawrie. He has been a "disappointment" so far and has been posting near 100 wRC+ with very good defense. Steamer has him posting a 110 wRC+ and 3.0 WAR over 130 games next year. That would be great. He also seems to be injured frequently. That would not be great

Jamie Alexander would be a good Wonder Woman too, but she is currently playing Sif in the Thor movies. Dont know if Marvel would let her walk, not sure if she has a long picture deal with Marvel.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 24, 2013 -> 07:39 AM) Height doesn't really matter, hell Tom cruise has made a career of playing roles he should be too small for. People weren't too happy when they realized he was playing Jack Reacher. DC has to get it right, they have f***ed it up far too many times in their movies.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 23, 2013 -> 08:37 PM) I'm not impressed with her acting chops. The first name that comes to mind, and she will never get the role though, is Megan Fox. She's close to a dead ringer for Lynda Carter. Which doesn't mean it's a bad idea to go in another direction. Megan Fox is 5'4", she is far too small for the role. The goal isn't to look like Lynda Carter, the goal is to look like Wonder Woman, a 6 foot tall amazon woman.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 23, 2013 -> 07:03 AM) I don't think Emma Stone is quite sexy enough for a role like that...or has the requisite "Marilyn Monroe" figure. Wonder Woman doesnt have a Marilyn Monroe figure at all. She is tall and athletic, an amazon woman. Sure, she is heavy up top, but Marilyn Monroe was pretty curvy. I think Gina Carano would be a good choice, but I dont know if she can act at all. I havent seen Haywire or F&F 6, but I dont think her parts required as talking as much as kicking and punching.
